Now it's more like when I grew up, although being an adult now I try to not dump a game half way.
While the All Bonds cheat was really cool, I'd argue the secret island on the Dam level was even more legendary. I remember people obsessing trying to get over to that section of the map, until a GameShark code finally made it happen. Unfortunately, there was nothing there except a tower and a gun turret, but it was still cool to see.

Really not until being an adult and the legacy collection, Bass is the one of the most popular, notable, and timeless characters from the OG Megaman to Battle Network, but pretty much all notable characters existed before in the OG series.

Homefront The Revolution is criminally underrated and over-hated for no real reason other than the internet saying it's bad. The on-the-fly-weapon customization and conversion is absolutely bonkers in the best way imaginable. Want a 3-burst grenade launcher with a 16x scope? Why the hell not

I’d like to point out that the reason people fell for those fake tips and tricks in the 90s/early 2000s was because back then kids weren’t chronically online and didn’t have access to reliable information about video games as much as we do today so people just assumed that anything was possible because it was also that case that a lot of people back then were new to video games so people were way easier to trick compared to today where your seen as uncultured or an idiot If you don’t know certain things about video games because literally billions of people are now veteran gamers

about the cow lvl: back in Diablo 1, there was a cow in Tristram. It was clickable, and it had a 'moo' sound when clicked. Since there is so few interactive NPCs in D1, that sparked a rumor there was a "secret cow level" which you could achieve by clicking the cow 50+ times or whatever. That's where the rumor started, and when D2 came out the rumor persisted.
I remember in Banjo Kazooie you could use an Action Replay to fly over the top of the wall to get to the Ice Key...but defo couldn't do anything for the others

I remember "Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles" on PSP had fully playable versions of "Rondo of Blood" and more importantly "Symphony of the Night" on the disc. Arguably the best Castlevania game ever made, and it never released on PSP except as a hidden collectible that unlocked the full game in the extras menu of a kinda mid remake of an older game. I remember towards the end of the N64's life cycle a gaming magazine published an actual paper back book of cheats you could buy with the magazine collecting every single cheat they ever published. In it was how to unlock literally everything in GoldenEye. The 4 bond skins included. My brother and I got all the cheats and it breathed years of new life in to that game. God I miss those days when games were games.
Im "that kind" of PC gamer from the late 90s and early 00s, loved Motocross Madness haha. Newer motocross games went too far into realism and I dont enjoy as much at all... Up to 7th gen era is where its at. And MM is one of the best series! MotoRacer series is fun too.
