As someone who made an arcade carpet design fursona, I'm gonna have a real time when I get around to making a fursuit of her

Omg yes! That had to be INTENSE!! I love the design idea though and it for sure will make every fursuit design after that feel like a breeze!

I tend to tell myself I only need to cut once, it never turns out well. Especially when I'm making patterns, believe me, it's better to be more exact with your pattern the first time than make a thousand edits to the mock-up.

RIGHT!? I’m in such a bad habit with this and I actively have to work to always always check to make sure things are right! 😅

Cutting out patterns with the fur in the wrong direction sucks! The worst is when you notice after sewing it on 😄

Ugh that’s giving me ptsd!!! Or if you have two halves and you see the wrong half to the wrong side! 😂 I hateeee having to redo stuff like that!

I knit & crochet & used to sew often - worst lie I keep telling myself is "this won't take long" - even on designs I've done repeatedly, life gets in the way, distractions or mistakes happen and I've had multiple times I didn't sleep (much or even at all) before a show.
my bf has recently been encouraging me to try some fursuit making and I KNOW there's going to be issues and a steep learning curve.
gonna be lurking around your channel & a few others I've found to learn as much as I can before attempting anything - thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience 💕💕
also, yes, fabric/yarn scissors are LIFE - I have 6 pairs of household scissors that live between the kitchen and the general living room desk - my good multiple layer sewing scissors live in the hobby room & my smaller scissors for yarn go only in my corner of the couch where someone would literally have to reach across ME to get them 😁

You should do a video on lies a fursuit buyer tell themselves.

If you ever do buy too much fur, you can either store the leftovers or make a premade tail to sell as well.

Well that was intresting thing to hear from someone who has expierence. Honestly always trying keep everything at balance mostly knowing my limit of what i am capable and what is accessible for me. Well you can't know until you try but better not to push yourself or have hitgh expectations.

Yes this is true! Mistakes are finding all the ways not to do something! As long as we are learn and improving from our mistakes that’s what matters most! 😄

as a newer soap maker i tell myself not to expect much when stocking my store. i then proceed to not make enough batches to keep it stocked...

That’s always so tough to gauge too! Demand can be crazy high or non existent! I guess that’s a good problem to have for you though since people are buying you out of stock! 😄

Honestly I've never had to charge over 100 dollars for a suit? I dunno how but like it just hadn't happened and I've had some big boxes go out
