    I got the EDC Pro for only 4usd after bundling with the ED9 Pro (10usd total). Overall, I prefer the EDCpro over the Zero2 and Chu2. Since we have differences in anatomy and sound perception, the KZ has more weight in the sound and the highs are smoother but somehow resolves a bit better than the other sets in my ears. Weird.

      I don't got the zero2 neither the chu2, but if you want more quality in details with less bass/body, I would recomend you the Tin C2. EDC pro is a banger for the price, but they hurt me a litle in high frequency (most metal music), besides be more high frequency, the C2 hurts me less because the overall quality of the highs. And would recomend the D-FI for a EDC pro with less resolution, but with around the same bass level.

    I subscribed to your channel recently and wanted to complement you on your clear, concise, and cohesive format. I'm sure your channel will continue to grow exponentially as time goes on. 🙂
    I have quite a few KZ/CCA sets (although not the EDC Pro) and, while they're also not perfect, I am fully satisfied by their performance for the price I paid. My experience with the brand has been positive but I've heard horror stories about some of their models of the past. Some view them as being shady or even openly dishonest but they are capable of making some really good products, imho. Hopefully, they can overcome the negative feedback and eventually make a return to the generally respected status they once had.

      I feel like back in 2018 KZ was the go-to entry level Chi-Fi Brand for people looking to enter the hobby. The original ZSN was pretty amazing for $25 in 2018. I feel like the rest of the industry caught up with them and they didn’t innovate enough. I hope they keep up this momentum with good tuning and pricing.

    More bass and less upper mids than Chu 2. This looks I what I wanted.

  • @Zero-Saber
    @Zero-Saber Месяц назад +2

    Got these for 9$. Not my preferred sound sig, but they're good for the price. They sound like simgot ew200 but with more bass and a little less highs and mids. Driver quality is better in ew200, but ew200 sound sterile and boring while Edc pro sound a lot more lively and musical. If having vocals and guitars in your face (not all the way, but there is very little room) sounds like a good time for you then you'll probably love these. Instrumental music sound really good in these to my ear, but for vocals there are too much mids. I know bright usually refers to highs but these are bright in the mids. Kinda intense experience but also fun. If I don't compare them to my other more laid back sets then I can get used to that sound sig in a day or two. Don't usually want to turn up volume too much with these though.
    Do you think I would enjoy Zero2 more based on my take on kz edc pro? I'm thinking about getting a pair.

    • @AudioAmigoReviews
      @AudioAmigoReviews  Месяц назад +1

      @@Zero-Saber To my ears, the Zero:2 actually have more filled in mids compared to the EDC Pro. A bit less bass, more mids, and less treble energy. They’re a warmer V-shape compared to the straight up V-shape of the EDC Pro.
      If you want something warmer with less focus on mids and highs that you can turn up the volume on, check out the ND Venus at around $8-9 or the QKZ x HBB for $20ish.

  • @dufinocchiaro298

    Hey, Omar! Will the EDC Pro fit the KZ AE01? The AE01 fits the other KZs I have, like the ZVX, the D-Fi, the ZS12 Pro X, even the QKZ x HBB. I'd like to get the EDC Pro, but I'd like to use it with de AE01. Another question: Looking at the squig, the graph looks almost identical to the TRN Conch with the Red Ring, with the Conch having a little less sub bass and a little bit more upper trebble. Do you have the Conch for comparison? Great review as always! Cheers!

    • @AudioAmigoReviews
      @AudioAmigoReviews  5 дней назад +1

      So, the EDC Pro uses a recessed QDC connector known as the type-B/NX-7. The AE01 as far as I'm aware, is QDC only, which isn't normally compatible with the NX-7/Type-B socket. So unfortunately I believe you wouldn't be able to use the AE01 with the EDC Pro. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it won't work.
      On the TRN Conch, I have it, but I haven''t had a chance to comparison listen to it vs. the EDC Pro. I don't have much experience with the Conch, I got it on super sale mostly for the accessories. It comes with a great QDC Cable and a ton of tips and a nice case. I only did a brief first impressions listening session, found out the red nozzles were my preferred nozzle, and haven't really listened to them since.
      Sorry if this wasn't much help. Good Luck!

    An absolute homerun of a set. Bold move by KZ since this essentially made most of their catalogue obsolete. The main issue with KZ, aside from silent revisions that ruin the IEM, is that they simply don't tune their IEM's with any coherency. I simply don't understand what market they're trying to cater towards with sets like the AS16 pro. This set isn't the best under 25 bucks by any means, but at 9 bucks? It'd be ridiculous to complain at that point

    • @AudioAmigoReviews
      @AudioAmigoReviews  2 месяца назад +2

      Exactly! I have several KZ sets, and it feels like they’re all held back by tuning, driver quality, or silent revisions. They have some other, let’s say “uniquely tuned” sets in this price range (Castor Bass) but this will be the most crowd-pleasing by a country mile. Thanks for the comment!

    How does the EDC Pro compare to Castor Enhanced Bass?

    • @AudioAmigoReviews
      @AudioAmigoReviews  2 дня назад

      The treble tuning is very similar, but the EDC Pro comes off more natural because it has MUCH less Midbass.
      The EDC Pro actually has better sub-bass rumble unless you put the Castor Bass switches in UUDD mode. The castor bass has a MASSIVE mid-bass boost that messes with the mids and makes it sound less accurate and clean.
      But it’s super fun.
      If you want fun: Go Castor Bass
      If you want clean sound that’s still fun. Grab the EDC Pro

      @@AudioAmigoReviews what budget options may have more top end & good bass while maintaining a balanced tuning & smooth frequencie response range/tone regardless of how loud where it can still be comfortable but still maintaining high performance or fidelity. I was thinking of considering the ZS12 Pro X from. I have had a good experience with the DCMEKA AO9 but when I bought one with a diffrent cable or even the same cable set one wouldn't be as loud but is clear except for the other pairs in which doesn't sound the same as the identical model name IEMs. I bought 2 of the type c DCMEKA AO9 & one sounded almost the same but introduced sound floor while the one that sounded close to what I would call hi-res audio quality lacked loudness despite good play & vibration in the plastic shell possibly indicating good dynamic range & velocity in how the driver presents overall great but can either be accidently decent or QC issue. Other then that though i'm trying to spend less then 50. The ZSN Pro 2 paired with my LG V50 i'd have to use the Flat Equilizer from the playstore in order to make them feel like its got professional dynamic range & clarity in which it does present some slightharshness. in how loud it is vs how much the bass would compensate the harsh loudness. Sorry I made the comment too long. Im still fresh in the IEM game. & I happen to see too much with reviews happening to be better then the personal preference of each person. I like something that would sound great without a dac or equilizer where it already has all the elements of sound that you need while at the same time could not sound as good when boosting the sound

    • @Josephine-r7b
      @Josephine-r7b 2 месяца назад

      vs when boosting sound on an iem that may be lacking bass. My apoligie I usually have brain farts. I'll keep an eye out on any new vids so as long as they're budget friendly 😆 I've most importantly wanted a comparison to the DCMEKA AO9 but even a type c vs c or 3.5mm vs 3.5mm wouldn't sound identical in quality so this recommendation probably wouldn't quite work unless you order a bunch then figure out which one still sounds ok. As far as I know the Tesla magnets are suppose to be better based on the superior sound title description but same price & sounds harsh but still was loud & presented some vibration on the chasis which is what I liked but ultimately it can still be confusing when only having experience with 20-30 dollar sets

      The ZSN Pro is a hybrid, and has a BA driver in the nozzle. I prefer the EDC Pro because the ZSN can be very harsh and unnatural sounding at the higher frequencies.

      @@snamhsif I have no experience with Lazada, but I’ve seen it on Aliexpress from “Choice” sellers for as low as $5. The shipping is slow, but you do eventually get them.

    You can't use a standard 2Pin on a KZ. KZ QDC is inverted polarity. They run the positive terminal towards the front, where standard 2pin is positive terminal to the rear.
    KB-EAR makes "KZ Conpliant" 2 pins, with the inverted pin outs.
    Just make sure the polarity dot is on the front of the 2 pin, and not the rear. Otherwise everything will be out of phase.
    You have been warned and informed.

      Huh. I guess I’ll have to do some experiments. I did a portion of my listening test with the NiceHCK cable and didn’t notice anything wrong in the sound.
      Maybe in this case, since they’re both inverted and there’s only a single driver it doesn’t affect things as much. Either way! Thanks for letting me know about the reverse polarity. I’ll do some more research into it.

      @@AudioAmigoReviews best thing to do is get a cheapo multimeter with a continuity testor, and check the connector pins to the spade on the plug. Sadly, I have seen cables built incorrectly right out of the box with one inverted channel.
      Usually I will find a couple of songs with pronounced layering that I am very familiar with, and it sounds really awkward when it's out of phase.
      The into of Karma Police by Radiohead has a very foward piano, with the guitar slightly behind it, but when the vocal comes in, it is very recessed and behind the instruments, like it's in a box, and the drums really reach forward and out to the listener. When the IEM is out of phase, the guitar and the piano sound recessed and the vocal pushes forwards, and it fights with the drums. It sounds uncomfortable to listen to when it's out of phase.
      Another one is Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, the intro has a dominant and forward high-hat in the right channel, which pushes in front of everything else in the opening, it will sound flat out of phase, and loses that forward push, sounding scooped. Then the backup vocal on the left channel in the bridge before the chorus is really close but sounds flat when out of phase. Then in the chorus there is an acustic guitar in the left channel that is really close and intimate, it feels "awkward" when it's out of phase, it's strangely still forward, but it sounds like it's going through a pedal or something, because the out of phase tone just isn't right. Especially having listened to the album hundreds of times, when it's not right, it really stands out to you that something is wrong.
      Another thing to try is taking two different phase 2 pins cables, and rotating them through some IEMs, and finding the one that really gives bad playback when they are out of phase. YMMV, but for me that's my old trusty Tin HiFi T3+, when they are reverse polarity, they sound like total ass. They lose all imaging and detail, and become a muddy mess.
      Like said, the KB Ear 2 pin has the dot forward on the connector polarity, where something like the Zonie cables have the dot rearward, which is the standard. And sadly, not even all QDC connectors follow the KZ reversed polarity, as Tangzu uses standard 2 pin layout on theirs. You can even look into the Wan'er and see the red positive polarity cable is run to the rear terminal. Where KZ will have theirs to the forward pin, or will have a silvery cable positive, and a standard cable to the rear post. Makes buying and rolling cables a real pain. What are standards???
      Sorry if I just flipped your world upside down. 🙃

      @@bigbuckoramma Oh don’t worry. You didn’t. I agree on the bad factory cables. I got a balanced KBEar 2-pin cable in and immediately noticed channel imbalance. Confirmed it using my trusty Fluke 87 and immediately sent them back.
      Dreams is one of my test tracks, I went and reversed the polarity and honestly couldn’t tell much of a difference. It’s one of the only audio blind tests that I can’t reliably pass. I guess my ears just don’t hear polarity difference as much as yours.

    I've been burned by KZ many times. This IEM might be cheap, but it's not worth the risk. Spend a few dollars more and get a better worry free IEM from a more-trustworthy company.

      I generally agree. And it’s generally what I recommend. Cheap stuff ends up being more expensive when it breaks and you have to end up buying it again.
      But I also understand there are people out there really struggling, and might only have $5-$10 to spend on audio. Even the used market doesn’t have many options in that price range. For those people, this is a decent set, so long as they don’t stealth change the tuning or the drivers again. Thank you for the comment.

      @@AudioAmigoReviews So...
      KZ IEMs are an option where poor people can end up spending more money in the long run (with the chance that the company will secretly change product).
      Sounds about right.
