Hello sis. Fabric softener and soap is not needed when doing a drum clean. Just a good baking soda in the drum and a little vinegar in the softener compartment for the rinsing cycle to deodorise your machine. Fabric softener is for clothing, using it for machine cleaning causes build up over time and will break down your machine. My humble advice 🙏🙏🙏🙏Thanks
