Although I am a Renegades fan I do not think this will go down as a vintage year for Panorama. The fact that melodies from way back yonder were the staple indicates that the judging has not evolved and bands realise that they have to live in the past to gain favour with the judges. Unless they get their crap together and pull their heads out of their collective arses the judges will kill Panorama. To reinforce the point I thought Starlift would win with Witch Doctor.
Boy wah do yuh - Yuh talking ah whole bunch a Horse Kaka - De level of pan this year was on a level not seen in many years. Almost Every band gave their best. but. Renegades was the Best of the Best - Unparalleled. Boy . . for sure sumtin wrong with yuh, Starlift win ?? - Admittedly, Starlift played exceptionally well in the Prelims - But , in the Finals they CHOKED, like a Macajuel on ah pig . They was all over the damn place and non-cohesive. The only band worst than Starlift was AllStars, I doh even know how they placed so high. -- Nuff Peace
@@Mingoao I understand your sentiment but a few months later and I am not humming any of those tunes or feeling the need to fire any of them up for another listen yet I will happily play Year for Love for the sheer arrangement artistry. I stand by my view, it was not a vintage year. As for Starlift my comment was based on their prelim performance and I even said at the time that Renegades, Phase II et al better be holding something back..
