Extremely cool show!! Been ot the MoF threre times - love each time. Last time was back in 2016 and we got to tour the Shuttle Full Fuselage Trainer!! That was a dream come true!!

I had the honor of getting to fly in this thing from the museum of flight to Paine field by invitation of the crew, and I'll probably always regard it as one of the coolest things to ever happen to me - extremely thankful to have been offered such an experience

I am old enough to have seen USCG Albatross would practice touch and go on Fern Ridge lake just west of the Eugene airport.
On the signatures inside the B-17 that are fading away, I hope someone thought about maybe taking digital photos of each one so that they can be reproduced and maybe actually laminated back on in the original handwriting before they become unreadable. Because once they are gone they are gone. I'm sure they could be printed on even with some type of spray printer so it would look like handwriting instead of just a sticker. My mother was a Rosie the Riveter in Fort Worth at Consolidated when she was 18 years old. She installed the floorboards in the B-17 cockpits and the circuit breaker boxes in the cockpit of the B-24s. She passed away at 96 during the covid lockdown.
I actually have a photos of me and her sitting in the pilot and co-pilot seat of a B-24 when she was eighty-five years old. One of the flight crew of the aircraft helped me get her up into the pilots seat and I got in the co-pilot. Then he climbed out on the nose and took the photograph through the front windscreen. She said that day meant the world to her! ❤

One gripe for the docent Corsica is French NOT Italian. First part of actual France liberated at the same time as Italy was dropping out of the war. This Island was liberated by a mix of Maquis aprtisans, Free French and Italian forces that sided with the forces that deposed el duce.

Dummy on he B25 is wrong on the engines !!! B25's used the Wright R2600's........NOT 2800 !!! DUUUUUHH!!!!!!!!!
