- On this bushcraft trip I loaded my Norröna synchro flex 120 L to the max. 30 Kilos of love lol. I was lazy and even brought a lot of water and way to much food for a short trip like this but did not plan it at all. Nice contrast to the previous video for sure. Had some fantastic stew and Rioja vine. Next morning the lake was like a mirror, just had to go for a slow ride in the canoe in the mist. Got some nice shots there. The Stew was made out of roast beef meat and the mushrooms was chantarelles and stone fungus, the rest of the ingredients are pretty obvious so won't go into detail. The spice was my favorite at the moment, Santa Maria Italian herb mix for sallad. This time I tried my new DD tarp 4x4m in the enclosed setup. Worked really good because the wind was moderate. Its downside is it dont work good in really high winds. And before the 1000 comments: what did you do to the fish what did you do to the fish etc.. I took it home and feed the wife and kids. It was way to big to eat for one person. Thank you for watching!
My grandfather always said “go with nature and you will become part of it”👍🏻
PPs. The cancer is not as painful as it was. Thinking about taking my wife and son and trying out a little camping trip just down the hill when it gets colder here in the states. You are our inspiration for that.
Don't stop what you do
Thank you!
Nothing more beautiful than the Swedish wilderness!
👍👍
Old growth forests are the most beautiful landscapes..
The surrounding scenery is beautiful, so the dishes look more delicious ^__^ 🇰🇷🇰🇷
Thank you for making me happy with the healing video.
Thanks for watching!
한국인이당 ㅎㅎ
Having watched several of your videos over the past few weeks, I just have to say that you are at a whole different level sir. Amazing.
Thank you very much!
Your videos make me miss solo hiking in Scandinavia, man! Enjoy the wild places, thank you for sharing your solitude with the world
Thanks!
Good for you for taking home the fish to share with your family. I'm sure they enjoyed it.
👍👍
You say that you are not a professional chef, your knife skills are better than many of the trained and schooled chefs that have worked for me and then again your video skills are wonderful! Then there are your bushcraft skills, they are top notch! Once again my friend well done!
Thank you very much!
The quiet slow zoom at about 15:16 put me in full meltdown. Less than 15 seconds to go to total inner calm is mastery on your part. And the end left me laughing out loud. Great video. I will watch and enjoy your work for as long as my forever lasts. Thank you for doing this.
Thank you very much Stephen my friend!
Более качественного видио чем у Вас просто не найти! Каждый выпуск это просто шедевр своего жанра! Лучший!!!
Да какой тут шедевр? Вышел в лес, поел магазинные продукты и ушёл. Пипец шедевр.
Thank you my friend for taking me with you again. A ''tail walking ''pike !!.. Keep safe my brother.
Thanks my friend!
It's been a while....nice to see you again. Thanks again for the free 24 minutes and 27 seconds of therapy and escape. The quality was crystal clear, the editing impeccable and as usual...interesting, intriguing and entertaining. I hope you're doing well. Thanks so much. Be safe - be well.
Thanks!
All a man needs is a floaty and a big fish 🐟 🙌
👍👍
This video flew under my radar. You eat like a King and process food for the cast iron oven like a precision machine. Its a joy to watch! Like your vegetable steamer, a S.S.colander works well also but doesn't fold up neat and tidy. Your somewhat of a magician when it comes to fire builds!
Warm water, cool air. Steam fog. Your plough point 4×4 with floor and 2 doors is really neat. I Always just enjoy the camera work and scenes and sounds of tranquility and fish on the hook! Your living my dream! LoL😆
Thank you very much!
The Master.... with the chill drive by.
Sick outing.
Keep enjoying.
Thanks!
Wow the opening scene is so good and the excellent part is cutting 🧅😂😄

Hi Swedwoods!!
That's what I told you about you cooking. That stew was perfect made. Here in Argentina we call it "guiso", and is exactly the same recipe... the red wine put the touch undescriptable.
Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
while some of what you do is rather odd, your cooking...its legendary!
Thanks!
These are some serious size chanterelles, wow, nice find.
Found some good ones south of Stockholm but nothing that big.
Nice video once again. Thanks a ton for that.
Thank you!
Sir, I have seen all your vids but this one is the best by far for cinematography, location its fantastic and when this pandemic is over I'll travel to Sweden for some of the same.. Anyway keep up the good work and good luck from Ireland
John 🇮🇪🍀👍
Thank you very much John!
There is an open invitation for you and yer family to come to ireland 🇮🇪 let me know anytime you want. ..
Success👍👍 Another well presented and filmed video brother, thanks for the trip😊 Nice fish, seems there are a lot of pike there, so not so many trout🤔 4X4m tarps can be a problem sometimes, nice set up, wind is the problem as you say. Stew looked delicious😋 The landscape is epic there, beautiful. Weather is changing there already eh, be needing outer wear before long👌no bugs and bigger camp fires. Great time and good work. See you next time. Enjoy!
Thanks!

21:46 A great catch. ;)
I love youre camp and the cooking.
Really great.
greetings from Thuringia Marco & Racoon
Thanks!
The metal clip inserted at the bottom of the steam/fire basket is a great touch for holding tinder! Interesting pasta shape that I have not seen in the USA. Some lovely camp and nature photography as well. Maybe I should cook something pretty soon!
Yeah I wonder what its for, I bent it down with plyers so pots can sit on it and you can stuff the tinder in there, helps when its windy. Originally it was vertically, maybe put a chain in there to lift the veggies basket out of a pot? Thanks for watching James!
Sååå njutbart att titta på !
Kul att du gillade den Lars Göran! Tack!
I would have cut every one of my fingers off chopping that onion like that!!!!! Great video and the scenery is amazing!!!
Thank you!

I fully validate this gourmet dish worthy of a Bourguignon beef (typical French dish from Burgundy)👍
best mushroom,The gift of nature
👍👍
Super pike👍👏🤝💪
👍👍
Best video on RUclips
Thank you!
Really enjoyed the vid! I was scratching my head going "How on EARTH can he have a fully enclosed shelter with a 4 foot by 4 foot tarp??"... then it hit me. Meters. 4x4 meters. Everywhere else its meters except for the US. When will the US realize that the metric system is 10X better😁 .
Lol yeah. Your military seems to get it though
When I first started seeing bushcraft I could not imagine a grown adult making shelter in 4x4 tarp!!..LOL. now I have a 3x3..lol.worse? Nope..not once you figure it out...love my 3x3
I'm American and it drives me crazy also!✌💛🤘
Very good camera work! You caught some great moments just the opening scene with the forest, the lake in the front and then you paddling across with the canoe excellent! Another highlight the wine glass scene with the sun in the back catching the evening. Did you change your camera gear? You seem to be a perfectionist in what you do? Even brought out the chef knife. This was shorter but packed with really good moments. What would be a traditional Swedish way to prepare/cook the pike?(sorry that I ask). Thank you for all the work!
Thanks a lot! Same old GH5 camera. Im not trying to make it perfect for the sake of perfection.. I just try to nail as many scenes where everything "is right" as possible. This time did pretty good.. better than the one before but thats because there is also a balance of trying to perfect things in relation how hard or physically demanding the trip is. This time was easy to nail the shots because it was just a glam camp to be honest lol. Most swedes cook pike in the oven I guess. Some in tin foil with some lemon. I heard about this really old recipe from Finland where you cook pike in cream I will try soon I think. Thanks for watching!
Thumbs up man.
Thank you!
