This was such a brilliant theme for a brilliant show. The music is gothic and ethereal, yet dark & trimuphant. It honestly doesn't even need Keith David's voiceover to be epic.
"1,000 years ago, superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of darkness. It was a world of fear. It was the age of Gargoyles. Stone by day, warriors by night; we were betrayed by the humans we had sworn to protect, frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. And now, here in Manhattan, the spell is broken, and we live again! We are defenders of the night. WE ARE GARGOYLES!"
This is no doubt one of the best shows Disney ever aired but is this really a Disney show? At the end of this show on the end credits it said Buena Vista Television and just had the Buena Vista castle logo.

Disney had to go hard with Gargoyle if they wanted to compete with Batman TAS, The X-men TAS and Spider-Man TAS.
