History with Marty Morgan: Was my M1 Garand in WWII???

    I got a unmolested Winchester back in 1984 at a army surplus store. It was made in Jan 1944.When I bought it I do not think it had more than 500 rounds thru it.Had it for 20 years before I took it apart and researched every part. It even has original sling. Because it was in such good condition, I do not think it ever left the states. Always wondered about its history.

    I was fortunate enough to get my Garand with a six digit serial alongside the original barrel

    Except when the main components on yours is April of 45 it’s unlikely it saw war time service. With the non original parts being IH pieces.
