I looked in the comments just to see how much Reps / TSP crossover there is. ( ruclips.net/video/N1F4duEZR_s/видео.html if anyone that doesn't know is curious. )
It looks like you bent a hook in the wire to wrap around the post. I would think that this extra effort would be helpful to the longevity of the repair.
Easy "just a cable" fix in best traditions😅. Will be interesting to compare how stable this 732A over time. Also you don't have previous history with this unit, so it's good idea to check if outputs can be trimmed. Just make sure 732 warmed up and settled at least over a week.
Looks like whoever soldered the wires to the binding posts did not follow the soldering guides from Heathkit....or the Army..... or anyone else (should have been wrapped around the post 2 times, not a small lap joint). Or as my friend who worked as EOL Repair at Fluke would say: "whaddaya expect, it's a Fluke!" Edit: Nice updated Thumbnail with the Smilies.
That 'Half' a Fluke freaks me out every bloody time !!.....cheers.
that fluke remote display messes with my brain lol
yeah lol it looks like it just cut off in the middle
Yeah, it looks like it's clipping through the table
It always startles me to see the remote headed Fluke DMM (who took the rest of my DMM? LOL)
The simplest solution is usually the right one! Looking forward to the battery circuit replacement video.
Nice 732A, great addition to the lab.
Those Fluke remote head meters are freaky. It looks like you phased a multimeter into the table. 😂
How the heck did you teleport that fluke to sit halfway through the table?
Its a remote display
Just Bethedsa stuff

I've been meaning to do a battery circuit replacement on my 732As, but hadn't gotten to it, looking forward to seeing your design.
Marco Reps wants to know your location.
Nah, he's way beyond this "junk"; Marko is into Parts per Billion accuracy and drift over a million hours stuff. 🤣
He tore one of these right the way down, oven and everything x

I find it a little bit funny in the reflection, you are talking with your hands even though the camera is pointed away. 😂
That dmm looks rad.

Imagine how many things get thrown away that have easy problems to fix.

hmm, why 1.018V?
that's the output voltage of older Weston cell based voltage references, it's just for backwards compatibility with systems that need that voltage.
@@akino_germany thank you for explaining.
👍🙏❤
I though he had build some sort of custom cut fluke 117 then i read the name on top
Its a remote display
Nice
Lol, classy Fluke quality construction ;-)
To be fair, this thing is very very old.
You should try looking for bargain houses in Switzerland to find one for 10$ having a broken lock on the doors.

What where they thinking, 732A is way to much for 4mm plugs
1/4 size fluke? That's interesting.
