Today Sports Dissected is welcomed back to Fayetteville, Arkansas by Director of Sports Nutrition, Karla Horsfall, for a behind-the-scenes tour of what it takes to feed the Arkansas Athletics program. In her role, Horsfall is responsible for creating, negotiating and implementing healthy habits for Arkansas Athletics. Check out the video to also see some of the delicious food stations the athletes get to take advantage of on a daily basis.

This would be the best part of being a Student-Athlete, getting to eat great food everyday, 3 or 4 times a day. Never have to go hungry, never have to cook or worry about having to buy groceries. That would be the life to be in college sports lol. I live in Fayetteville, AR btw so this is awesome to see.

I've always thought that the nightmare of an all you can eat buffet is seeing a bus drive up and the football team piles out to get lunch. People like 6 foot 9 and 375 pounds, but there's dozens of them.
A D1 football team is not eating at a buffet.
In fact, most HS or JV have more respect for their players than to go to a buffet.
@@karlbjorkquist7489 they aren’t eating at a buffet but eating like it’s a buffet. I used to work for a restaurant and we catered the Hogs about twice a month. There was no limit to how much they could eat. It was healthy food though
@@karlbjorkquist7489 can confirm that I have seen top level sports programs absolutely demolish a Ryan's buffet in Arkansas. They were driving through. I barely got enough food to eat!

@@Chitown18 the football programs are always funded separately from the academic programs. You cannot compare them. It is absolutely a privilege to be part of a football program at a D1 school.

Arkansas athletics receive no money from student tuition. It is funded by the Athletic departments own revenue streams which includes ticket sales and boosters.
