      @@Mrwinecontreras when it was good it was good but when it was bad it was very expensive. Since i left this comment i have sold mine to a scrap yard. The transmission blew out, suspension was going out and blew the day they came to tow it. If you have the knowledge to do the repairs and disposable income it might be better suited for you. A transmission cost i was quoted; 7k a new suspension; 5k. I couldnt do the work myself and definitely couldnt justify the cost. My area only has 2 import mechanics that are months behind on work with part delays. I had a funeral for my range rover and turned the page. Overall i loved it. Nothing else will give you the feels like that model. But that dang transmission was a nightmare. And im not alone. I give my experience an F in the end cause thats all i seen on the screen anyway

      @@SubliminalCriminal4did you look into doing a LS engine swap or transmission?

    • @SubliminalCriminal4
      @SubliminalCriminal4 Год назад

      @neilshrestha-birtch588 I looked into many different options to save it but in my area it was just too expensive. We only have 2 locations, very far apart, that will work on imports. 10k was about as low as I could find for the repairs so I moved on. I miss it very much. My area of the USA is just not feasible for used rover purchased with no service records

    honest reliability, is it worth getting pre-owned? whats the best year used?

      Randy A Range Rovers are amazing, but expensive, but amazing. Get a well-serviced 2007 for about 23000 with realistic miles and great service records and you've got something special for not a ton of money. Newer ones cost more but aren't any nicer or more reliable. A 50000 mile 2010 is just as expensive as a 120000 mile 2007 assuming both have been well-serviced. Go for the lower cost of entry, get a buyer's inspection and enjoy the smile on your face every time you get behind the wheel.

      The Fast Lane with Joe Tunney THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANSWER : I saw one of 2010 with air suspension // so what about diesel vs supercharged petrol ? What is the more reliable ???

    I'm in the middle of buying a used 2007 Range Rove Sports with a good car fax and great price. I've heard that the reliability is terrible, is it worth buying? The sooner response the better :)

      +Slashtitan10 Before you sign anything, simply take it to the Range Rover dealer (not anyone else) and get a buyer's inspection. Then you know what you are in for, what adjustments in price need to made and you have the peace of mind of knowing exactly where everything is at on your car.

    This was actually a very well done video, great job. I had a question. I just bought a 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged, has a keyfob? next to the key, whats that for and how do I open the liftgate trunk, not just the glass?

    • @SAVEMONEYYY
      @SAVEMONEYYY 9 лет назад +2

      The corner of the key has a little space to attached key chains or such, to open the whole trunk and not just the rear window, there is a circle button near the sport letters on the lower right corner of the tail gate you press that and it open. You can also program your, so when you press the land rover logo button it will open the tail gate for you. Refer to your owners manual for the simple programing steps. I programmed mine to turn on the lights.
