My ancestors are predominantly from this region in Germany. I liked this video the best so far to share with my family for some insight into their heritage!
I grew up in Hanau but I loved visiting Heidelberg. I went on school field trips, with my parents, and on my own with friends as a young adult. Man those steps are brutal but wonderful. 😊
Wow Germany is so beautiful , thank you for sharing this ,giving us idea of beautiful places to go 🥰🥰🥰 would love to go there someday ,happy weekend friends 😊
I love kehl & spent many an evening sitting by the river Rhein watchi g the big boats & the nature there .....gorgeous ..... visited Heidelburg, Stuttgart & karlsruhe .... & have to travel so much more .... best in life experience
I traced my father's line back to this place, I guess they were nobles and clerics back during the Holy Roman Empire, kinda hit a brick wall after Andreas Burckhardt, I. He was an elector and jurist, born in 1585, died 1633, he was born in Austria, and died in Wurttemberg. Very beautiful place, maybe someday I'll be able to visit.
Heidelberg Castle and the town itself has a strong connection with my country the Philippines 🇵🇭 where our Poet, National Hero and Patriot Dr. Jose Rizal lived there in 1886 and in nearby Wilhelmsfeld there's a monument and a street that was named in his honor.
Most cities in Baden-Württemberg aren't swarming with tourists. Well spa towns are popular amongst Germans but you could try visiting cities like Tübingen
I think the Black Forest and Lake Constance have probably the highest density of beautiful towns and villages. Avoid towns that were destroyed in WW2. With those rules I'm sure you'll find a lot of beauty that tourists typically wouldn't see and that nobody talks about.
The Allied bomber pilots are said to have thought that the city was part of the neighboring country, Switzerland. It was just as brightly lit.. But probably it is more complicated.
Many cities in Baden-Württemberg weren't damaged during World War 2. My history teacher at school once said that the allied bombers flew over the landscape and were so amazed by the beauty that they forgot to drop their bombs
In Eupapark, disabled people are allowed to enter to watch the rides, but not to ride them. My children have a humiliating memory of this, a real nightmare !
@@DWTravel That's what we did when we left the park. And a representative of the management told us: "You should have gone to EuroDisney, they are much more attentive to minority rights. True story! Then they offered us free tickets and apologised.
Not that I dislike my home state, but on balance, I don't find any of the places mentioned particularly outstanding. Sure, if you are in the area anyway, do visit some. Or if you got a special interest - let's say in cars - sure, there's Mercedes, Porsche and the Sinsheim and Speyer museums. But if you just generally go on a holiday, eh. There's other locations I'd recommend ahead of BaWü.
@@Chris-cc8vc Well, depends on what we compare. Schwarzwald for example ... is just boring compared to the Alps. Bodensee ... any of the Norther Italian lakes. Not a fan of the cities either - that is excluding Freiburg as I've never been there. But Stuttgart is pretty ugly, and Heidelberg doesn't offer all that much and is in normal times unreasonably overrun. Depends on what you want to do which other city I'd prefer over that.
@@Sp4mMe I think it basicaly depends on your origin. For example, there are many people from other countries who want to see Frankfurt am Main, which in my opinion, is a very ugly city. However, there are many tourists every year.
Baden-Württemberg is truly beautiful.

Mine too, it's so fascinating.
Same!💜
I visited Stuttgart 3 times a year to see my mother. She was born in Esslingen and died in Esslingen last year. Stuttgart is a beautiful city.

Land des Glaubens, des Wohlstands, der Natur und der Freundlichkeit. Ein unglaublicher Zustand und mein Favorit. Ich wünschte, ich wäre dort geboren.
I am happy to know about these places because I am moving to Baden-Württemberg in 2 weeks. So it's good to know more about the state.
welcome i´m from Lake Constance
Welcome :)
Welcome. I'm from the 'Kurpfalz' (Schwetzingen/Mannheim/Heidelberg and surroundings)
Do you swim in that lake?

I drove my rental Audi to the Mercedes Museum and my car was one of the few non MB cars in the parking garage.
I live in badenwutenberg
Hi, is it Rosensteinstraße 24 in Baden Wuttenberg?
Why was Konstanz so Little damaged during the last war?

@Chris Robert You should inform the management about it, otherwise it won't change, don't you think?

Why should you visit the Amazon? There are jungles in Africa too.
I will marry💍 a German🇩🇪 girl❤.
Maybe if you leave your countries mysogonistic culture behind
Why Would I visit germany to see ugly modern art?
To convince you that it is not ugly at all 😉😚
@@DWTravel Modern Art is soulless and easily made
Hey bro, mind your language. Germany is not ugly. Ugly is your mind and your narrow thinking🤔. Germany will be my in-law's home🏠.
