super helpful tip thank you. makes sense now that you say it, all that warm interior air would be in the open shaft, and the attic would be a colder space. I wouldnt have really taken the time to think of that, glad I learned it before I had a skylight!

Would the windows of a clerestory have the same condensation problem(s) as a skylight? What about tube skylights?
