Hey SonicHaXD you will be pleased in the final chapter since they let you pick whoever you want which includes Reptile/Syzoth and it gives an excuse for him to have more screen time (same applies for anyone else that’s playable too)

Reptile's really done well for himself this game. A story chapter, camaraderie and respect from the heroes, a budding romance with Ashrah, a honoured position in Mileena's court. Though he may have his kind's prejudices to overcome, gotta appreciate what a glow-up the old secret fighter's got.
IKR! Everytime there was a moment of care or friendship between the good guy group, (especially when it involved both Reptile and Baraka) it made me so happy that my characters were getting the treatment they deserved and needed!

When Kenshi noticed Syzoth in trouble and went to go help him and when Kung Lao and Baraka (two individuals who were known to hate each other in the past timeline) worked together in a badass tag team warmed my heart!

Ah, those memories. Long before cell phones & social media. Imagine what it must have been like seeing this mysterious character named Reptile randomly appear out of nowhere & then deciphering how to access him. What it must have been like to be out on a Friday night in 1992 at your local arcade, bowling alley, amusement park or whatever, surrounded by friends & getting to fight Reptile at the bottom of the Pit in MK1 after deciphering these mysterious clues. Truly a Generation X experience! So around here got to fulfill that? Share your stories. Perfection is the key👍
I remember finding Reptile on the SNES version. It was super hype to fight him. It was a total pain in the ass to even find him so losing was not an option.
Small tip on the use of standing 3 that I found is that you can cancel the first hit into a falling fangs. Considering the fact that standing 3 is a high attack you can actually do a surprise overhead.
Does that also work for Death Roll? If so that would be a good 50/50.

@@arthurperalta104 it's universal terms for each console. On PlayStation 1 is square, 2 is triangle, 3 is x, and 4 is circle. Same positioning on xbox

2:10 The Meter Burned Force Ball gets you an additional knock up alongside the 2 you get normally, allowing you to get 3 in a combo or possibly more.
I discovered it when the CPU did it on me while practicing. 😅

If you kameo kung lao with him, you can get at least 4 knockup juggles with two force balls, kung lao's spin, and uppercut.
there’s benefits to meter burning the force ball. you can actually stack the meter burn balls after the first two to keep the combo going.
It also allows the slow ball to go full screen until hit. Great for tricking people trying to jump it.
Yes, I noticed that but it’s hard to juggle after because the opponent starts falling really fast 😂
You can do Falling Fang off of the first hit of his standing 3. Since both of his feet are off the ground during the animation, he's technically "in the air". 👍

The slow metered ball can be worthwhile since you can walk behind it and it actually travels a respectable distance. Really good in specific matchups.
Cover Barraka next. He got a lot of love in this game, and his move set is also really freaking amazing. Probabky the best version of him.
This vid is great, quick guide but what introduced me to your channel was the character breakdowns you did in practice mode for all of the MK11 characters. Hope to see more of those!
So meter burning the Force Ball does go slightly farther for the fast version BUT meter burning the slow version makes it go MUCH further so you can approach behind it and use it for cover I.E. Slow Booms from Guile in SF.
It also gives a third launch after you use two different speeds

Reptile’s so great to have back in this game. I have a friend who can’t cope when I play him. I’ve learnt him well and his zoning and juggling with Force Ball can be a nightmare to deal with.
He’s surprisingly easy to pick up too. I love comboing into Death Roll or Falling Fangs.
Few things missing
1. The air attack can be stringed into forward 3 2 and ended with slide
2. Standing 2 1 is a good stager with good recovery and you can move back slightly to avoid pokes and punish them with back 3 2 into full combo
3. The dash has instant recovery if you don’t hit your target so it’s good to end combos with to close distance if your opponent likes to overly zone
4. Charged overhead is almost safe in block and can be plus with a kameo (I prefer cyrax)
5. You should almost always end combos with foward 3 2 which can chain into slide invisibility or kameo
Also his 1 1 3 give him a pretty good meter less launcher in the corner

I been learning to do the 2,3 and 2.3 again followed by 2,1,1 for 303 damage.
I didn't even know how to do the combo air attacks and I don't get when to say use Serena or even Cyrax spin in the air to continue a combo. Every time I do Cyrax spin in the air he completely misses the opponent and just flies away. Grrr.
I seriously believe Reptile is hands down my favorite character. He is so much fun and his attacks to and from lizard form just make him that much cooler!

Loving Reptile so far. Him and Havik are freaking NUTS in combos.
Go with Smoke on the next one. Spent about 40 min with him in practice mode and he has LOTS of potencial. That aerial move that has a sweep and sends the opponent flying for a air combo if you spend bar is bonkers.

With damage scaling being ridiculous who cares about 50% damage on a pairing combo string? I hope they change that soon, that sucks not to reward players for stacking combos and hitting them successfully. Awesome content btw! I'm so happy Reptile is back!

You can extend combos with Reptile's spit in a way.
It is to use a Kameo that has teleport trait, and if you time using the teleport so well right after the spit lands you will go to the other side and keep your hits going.
I saw this in a RUclips vid one day.

Assists in this game are gunna be nuts. I can already see an inviz vortex with reptile and frost. Or even a vortex with kung Lou with ex headlock plus assist for the restand

I'm definitely maining Reptile. I learned a few moves with him in the middle of story mode, so he's easy enough for me to learn.
I felt the same way. It was pretty intuitive to kick ass as him which must mean I need to give him a go!

Im maining reptile and hes awseome. The gator roll covers alot of ground and force ball and acid can be used interchangebly to throw your opponent off.
i hope you can do the how good/bad is the character in mk12 bcs i was hyped when you are doing it on mk11!

I am just really liking his remodel.
I found that you can follow up a jumping forward 4 with a immediate down 2 you can just clip somones legs but still launch them just as far as what the initial kick would so its a free upper cut hit, this can then immediatly be followed by a fast force ball which launches the person up and lead into the air combo of 2 3 3 and then finish with the teleport drop.
edit, should have noted that the initial JF4 needs to be pressed late so you are close to the ground and land fast enough to perform the follow up D2. if you do the initial JF4 whiles still quite high you can follow it immediatly with a DB4 teleport which is helpful if you stuff up the timing of the kick as doing it too high leaves more time to land thus the person will be launched too far to be hit by the D2

Smoke should be next. He is god base but when he has full meter he is a god. No one will come out of the air.

Reptile's down 2 is completely safe on block and has really good range, so it can be nice to throw it out there instead of something like forward 2 trying to go for an unsafe mixup
Force Ball meter allows slow to go further allowing for it to projectile block or setup.
Acid spit meter burn makes it hit mid, so it no longer can be ducked.

The force ball meter burned is infinite loopable so yeah, is useful somehow.
You can get 3 force balls in one combo. One of them has to be meter burned. In neutral, or in the corner, i would do normal ball, slow ball, meter burned ball and end it with air combo into the lizard drop. It is a tight window but it is possible. I should mention that I'm not doing strings in between forceballs. So I open them up, and go into 3 consecutive forceballs to make it work. I doubt it works with strings in between them.
You can actually do 5 force balls in one combo lol. Can do 2 different unmetered and 3 metered in one combo .
One thing you didn’t cover is forward 3 2! It catches airborne opponents and you can cancel into the deathroll (with good timing). I didn’t know it was possible until someone did it to me in a mirror match. Crazy!
I'm thinking using the enhanced slow force ball. You can walk with it like guile from street fighter and get some sick mixups. If you know they gonna block it you can start a low combo starter

This version of reptile the coolest version they ever done in my op..
I wouldn't sleep on his jumping 1,2 string. It's much easier to get falling fang out of and it always does more damage as well. I find f2,3 best used after 1,1 f1,3 or b3,1 into forceball. Also his f3,2 can be canceled into the crocodile roll for big damage and is my go to combo ender

This combo is getting even better, if instead of 3 force ball you finish it with > 3 2. Its very easy to time and on hit, it can be canceled into specials, invisibility or even fatal blow
