You wouldn't want that as part of the same data set which is what he's talking about. Some people may over or under defendtheir blinds, and that's a different statistic. Sure it's associated with general fold % but should be looked at separately
Citriano Torres Between the first "course" that explained nothing and was hosted by someone I have never heard of, and this guy just explaining how to use a HUD, I have no idea.
Citriano Torres You will not hear or read any viable poker theory and strategies. What you read or hear is done in order to get you to play and lose to pros and the casinos.
It's good to speak very fast to have as much information possible in one session but on the other hand you want those people who haven't heard alot about that stuff to be able to process that information ... wich is kind of hard at that rate xD
12:05 he said "vpip numver that was talked about last time". But last lecture he didn't joined and actually this video is first time he had lectured. What is wrong? Are some lectures missing?
You should know the game pretty well alrdy to be able to follow this at all. Same with any game. Chess strategy is lost on those who do not know the rules. Cuz chess is much harder actually you need to have played at least few hundred games to gain from any lecture.
+max hodges Dude, if you fold KK there, you are fuckin nuts. Also the situation is unrealistic to begin with. Chip leader pushes from UTG with three behind at the final table? When the fuck would that ever happen? He opens up with an actual raise, Villian 6 pushes. You then fold AQs, but KK? Get the fuck out of here.
In calculating EV, what was the used probability of winning supposing one player got KO and you were heads up with a 1:7 stack? If the lecturer used a 50/50 he is an idiot. Not enough information given to make an accurate decision yet, despite what was proposed by the lecturer.
Ya it’s completely wrong. There’s 5 players left! One guy gets knocked out, now there’s four and hero is short stack at 1400 with second short stack at 4K. And he’s still OTM.

Worst camera man ever. This guy should be ashamed of himself. He let something of so much value just go to waste. This course could have been so so much better
another bullshit about playing on small blind ofcourse it does matter who folded against you and of course it matters what you will do as there's another player after and your move will affect his decision
There is no theory to roulette and lotto. impossible to beat those games long term. However, in poker if you consistently make decisions that have positive expectation you will win money in the long run.
Chalkboards WORK ! After the X time someone uses a non erasable pen on a whiteboard you'll wish for a chalkboard. AND chalkboards aren't as messy as whiteboards. If you get chalk somewhere - no problem. Those markers on the other hand. To sum it all up - whiteboards are for posers, chalkboards are for those who know better.
For this course we'll need you to subscribe to poker tracker. Student: What's the cost? Professor's Assistant: It's only $79.99 for the duration of the course.
wish this lesson could be recorded again and show everything the speaker is pointing to, when he is going over the concepts
you can find the slide deck on the MIT website linked in the description!!

Wouldn't knowing who is over-folding the SB be significant in analyzing a walk? I didn't go to MIT but this seems important.

So, basically, you've got to know when to hold 'em.
Know when to fold 'em.
Know when to walk away and know when to run.

Title of this video should be changed to "How to Use Poker Tracker", as it contains no other information.
It would be more appropriate to introduce poker terminology for those not familiar with "pre-flop", "big blind", etc.
