This is the song that I discovered Kathleen from. It was used in a scene from a 2002 Canadian comedy movie called Men with Brooms about a a beer-league curling team. Hockey Skates was used in a touching poignant scene and I was smitten with the voice and the song right away. Then not long after (winter 2003 I believe) she was the opening act for Blue Rodeo when they came to town and seeing her live sealed the deal! Been a huge fan ever since! Can't wait to see her live again in June at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival!
I love this song! Kathleen is my favorite singer songwriter musician of all time. Saw her many times in Pittsburgh. I can't wait for more of these videos.❤❤❤
Just in case anyone didn’t think Kathleen is a gift to us all… here she is, just her finger picking and her voice, telling this poignant story perfectly.
I love this song. I remember your piano player and his Expos baseball hat. Lol. U married your guitarist? Correct? I think was wonderful and I hope your happy. I saw u perform in 2002, 2004, amd 2005 in Philly. You signed your failed cd insert for me. I wish i could.wlave a pic here. I'm happy and proud to say I saw u when....u were in your early 20s!!!! Hasn't it been an amazing life and a wild ride? I never made it as far as u did, but my life isn't over yet. I started to okay the piano 2 years ago after seeing Tash Sultana, at the philmore in Philadelphia. On Tuesday night I saw Firrest Blakk and James Arthur. The ladies seem to really love James. At least that's what I heard for about 90 minutes. The lead guitarist and the organist were both talented beyond the stars. I hope the next 10 years brings u more performances at Bonnaroo and beyond. Best wishes always, Robert zeligson Again, I love this song!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loving these solo performances. Album? Please? I remember a tom petty interview where he talked about "song power". A great song is great with a band or just an acoustic. Your songs are timeless and have that elusive "song power' in spades.
Long time fan her whole career, and these solo performances are just knocking me off my feet.

Good song, relatable, people suck or is it our expectations that we have of them that sucks?
