That Corrola ad really gets to me. Nicely done. The flashback father is John Doman, who has been in just about everything. The shampoo ad is a lot better than most of these ads - it's soothing and keeps your attention, at least. Much better than a celebrity throwing her hair around and grinning inanely. Do you know who the guy is in the AIDS PSA? That Double Chex jingle never leaves your head. Ever.
the Coca-Cola song was amazing there was some serious cuteness in the Arm & hammer ad what made Double Chex different f/ regular Chex? nothing does my heart good like competing yeast infection ointment ads!
1:31--I am not a soap opera fan, but I think there were still quite a few of them on the air in the early 90's, compared with just a handful nowadays. 3:23--I haven't seen Cracker Barrel-branded shredded cheese in ages, but "regular" Kraft is still one of the most popular brands. 6:35--I love the international-flavored Coca-Cola jingle! They have used a lot of great jingles over the years, and I have to admit that I had pretty much completely forgotten about that one. 9:43--What ever happened to Double Chex? The jingle sure is catchy.
1:45 -- BROMANCE ALERT! BOGUS! You're right on with that Coke ad, imagine the impact it had on the world post Gulf War & Cold War at the time. On a lighter note, if a sitcom with the Geico cavemen could get a greenlight on ABC, Arm & Hammer's Pet Fresh sure can! Make it so ABC!
Because it was? George H.W. Bush was challenged in his own party by Pat Buchanan for the nomination, which only happened twice in the 20th century. Perot was a conservative independent dark horse candidate that likely cost Bush the election. And the crowded democratic primary went on longer than usual (similar to this year) before Clinton became the nominee. I'll definitely agree that Perot was a sizeable factor in Bush losing the election. Not the ONLY thing, mind you, but throwing his hat in the ring didn't help.
You must be a Millennial. Nobody who lived through the AIDS epidemic of the 80's & early 90's would make such an ignorant comment. There was so much misinformation during those early years that inexpensive AIDS awareness commercials like the one you watched were extremely important in terms of educating the public on how you could and could not get AIDS.

Where was that mellow mom, when I was a kid? :(
Did you all notice the blatant lack of sex appeal in many of these commercials and movies? How times have changed
1:31 OLTL was my soap. Soap Opera Digest was right when they blamed the OJ trial for the HUGE drop in ratings for all soap operas.
1:45 -- BROMANCE ALERT!
BOGUS!

6:06 The Young Chronicles of IJ was a good show.
"I-I-love-love-Double-Double-Chex-Chex..." Aaak, make it stop!
That Coca Cola ad is so much like the ad from last years super bow that cause an uproar are they glad that ad in 92' was made before twiter.
I'll definitely agree that Perot was a sizeable factor in Bush losing the election. Not the ONLY thing, mind you, but throwing his hat in the ring didn't help.

Back when it was blatant you were being fucking lied to....A more "honest" time, somehow.
coca cola was obviously going for world peace.. too bad it doesn't take a cold coke to do that.. or a dumb model. if only life was that simple.. sigh.
