The best final boss ever, honestly 4th generation in general had fun final bosses. Kinda sucks that Gog or Dalamadur never returned, I wanted them back alongside Ka as well. :c
I love the insectoid monsters, they're all super cool. I'm sure that while the mecha transformation was super cool, that this probably wouldn't follow it, perhaps getting a slightly different scheme to go with whatever game it may end up in, or simply forgoing the transformation all together, but this looks like a sick monster, and I can imagine that any weapons and Armor from it would probably be pretty sick.
A beautiful demonstration of how one of the average monster types can make something just as impressive as an elder dragon if given just the right amount of love and confidence
Yeah, it'd be cool if we had elder-level versions of every monster class. We have Savage Deviljho and Raging Brachydios for Brute Wyverns, Furious Rajang for Fanged Beast, Seething Bazelgeuse and the metal Raths for Flying Wyverns, and Ahtal-Ka for Neopteren. Maybe Abyssal Lagiacrus for Leviathan. So I guess we still need an Amphibian, Bird Wyvern, and Piscine Wyvern, unless I'm forgetting someone.
What is Athal-Ka? One of the coolest Monsters ever and my favourite boss fight of all time after Fatalis (including white and crimson). It's also in my Top 10 of fav monsters of all time. Even the OST is high up for me. If we get that thing back "aahhh!" this will be so exciting =)
My favorite piece of trivia regarding Ahtal-Ka's third form is how the wheel it carries has two intercrossed X's on it, as in, Double Cross, the japanese title of GU.
I started with world and am now working my way through generations. I knew about this boss before hand and i am so excited to get to fight it later on.
I got Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate maybe 2 .5 to 3 years ago on my 3DS, and im taking a break. I'm done with story and now I'm doing hub quests, and now remembering that there's a freaking "Howl's Moving Castle" looking boss is starting to put me back in the 3DS mood! (rip eshop)
I am exceedingly surprised this monster was not in rise. Everything looks like they drew inspiration from this fight. From the wirebugs to leading them into powerful moves and the little red triangle that pops up over its head when it's down. Seems oddly similar.
So, I was hoping that we would get Ahtal-Kal in MHR. We've got gameplay mechanics that work with it now, we can just swing up to its webbings and cut down the mecha form. And we've got a setup for its mecha form in the story. THE BIG SHIP that's commissioned to fight Gaismagorm. It is loaded with dragonators and has a big wheel. Imagine that Ahtal-Kal swipes it to build its mecha with it.
At this point, I figured we weren't getting Ahtal-Ka in Rise and MHGU was on sale on Switch so I did the most logically thing possible. Perfect my Sleep IG build in Rise... ... ... ... And then wake up the next morning, buy GU, and grind for 14 hours straight
If this monster ever got added to Sunbreak, no doubt they’d update it to reflect the wire-bug mechanic. Can you imagine this thing swinging around and pulling debris with it? Could turn itself into a sling!
Maybe it's just me but I really like the mechanics of this fight. This, Jhen Moran and Amatsukami are my favorites just because they give a sense of scale and urgency to the hunt. I really wish Capcom would bring it back.
I never play the generations ultimate but I think Antalya ka is very intelligent because the reason why I find him very intelligent is because it is very smart to use your home as also a defense like make yourself look bigger and menacing that is very smart
That sounds like a super cool monster and fight. As much as I enjoy the spectacle of the 5th gen from a hunter's perspective, I do kind of wish we had more spectacle in what the monsters did. Some of the monsters in the recent title updates did scratch that itch for me, but I wish we had more.
Ahtal-ka is a particularly good gunner target because you can blast the gold cocoons from ground level instead of having to climb up the structure to pound at them.
Ahtal-Ka is what Rise needs, but again as an important monster, lets say, for a boss, and in any case, it would be good if added make Ahtal-Ka more hard, and of course, bringing back the Proof of a hero of the GU just for ahtal ka would be a master piece, i think this monster have everything, is the final boss of the last MH old Gen, the best (imo) proof of a hero, an amazing fight, is a living plot twist, lots of references, her intelligence is great, and the normal music is awesome too, i personally want this bug using wirebugs, the potential use in rise for ahtal-ka is big
I think that Ahtal-Ka would work in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak because of its use of silk just like the Rakna Kadaki and plus there be more variety in the game.
I'd like to see Ahtal-ka in MH6. I think the resources available in non-Switch hardware would allow for some cool physics and environmental interactions in the fight.
First time I fought this the team I was with were awesome they helped me and my friend do this back to back they where understanding that we had no knowledge of it’s attack pattern and it’s battle stages and they showed us how badass they were against it in the fight. And as a boss fight it has to be on of the most unique an fun bosses in monster hunter.
I wish they would put it on sunbreak. Imagine fighting it on it's mech form then it calls all of your wirebug trapping them into its cocoon. So you have to fight it like in the old gen.
The one and only monster I want to see brought back is lao shen lung, I still remember facing it for the first time on the original MH, that fight still for me is one of the best!
it could be that's what it started as but as time wore the original pieces down Ahtal ka continued to effect "repairs" until all that was left was its own work
Personally I feel that this boss like Zora Magdaros kind of missed their generation. The running and movement systems in Rise would be the prefect for for these two. It’s even weirder when you realize that in rise their is a single monster that has its own silk-bind style combat.
Nakarkos, athal-ka, dalamadur are of the best monsters to hunt, their fights are so cool and gimmicky and you can feel the treat of being killed at any point, i just feel like other end game monsters are a big bad elder dragon that shots an element or all of them and like I'm tired of that shit, I needed more monsters like those last 3.
In my opinion Ahtal-Ka is the best final Boss, the fight is a lot of fun and the mechanic with the mech is very interesting. The Ahtal-Ka armor has a very cool concept as well, being kind of a "make your own armor" (skill wise) type of thing. Return? Nah, i think certain monsters shouldnt return, to give each game some kind of uniqeness and reasons to play them for those experiences.
Imagine ahtal ka Dalamadur akantor ukanlos yama tsukami und frontier monsters in wilds but yeah If the devs decide to Bring any of those Back then rather in a Port and not in wilds
Hate to comment again, but there's something else Ahtal-Ka that you didn't mention that's pretty cool. Her name fits her like a glove. "Ahtal" in Arabic means "ruins" as in "an ancient undiscovered ruins", and "ka" is a part of the soul in ancient Egyptian mythology. So her name roughly translates to "soul of the ruins".
It's still a very strong monster. It's just stronger with its intellect, which it uses to build giant mechs. Also fun fact the Neset (mech) that Ahtal ka uses in GU isn't fully finished. It's the only reason the hunters actually won that fight.
Didn't fight it sadly, kinda had my spirit for Gen Ult fried after stuff went down with some people I was playing with and a break up happened with another. Really wish I could have gotten further, there was a lot I had hoped to do with it.
@@stripedrajang3571 I could, but then I'd be playing through the whole thing single player and while I can do it fighting multiplayer mons single player I don't find enjoyable

i really wish a spinoff game with random mechanics and ALL of the final monsters on it so far (which includes water combat for Dire Miralis)
To me, both this monster and Valstrax were the gems of generations.
The thing that sucks about dalamadur and gog is that for the most part its weapons and (I think) armor sucked
@@rdxgamer1772 I never cared about the weapons. xD
Let's not forget story wise this thing took an entire city to make its nest. And when I say take, I mean abducted. The town was gone.

Yoooo second RUclipsr I've seen who talked about this, pogg
Another kicker is that the giant mech we faced was INCOMPLETE. Given more time, Ahtal-Ka could have become a Black Dragon-level threat with its mech.
