I am an artist Nd i have done fine arts so I am saying there are not only 2 departments : paintings and applied . There r painting, applied arts , sculpture , art history , print making , museology , pottery etc. another thing BFA is not equal to BEd . One has to do BEd even he wants to become art teacher . The examples you showed to say this is applied arts are not relevant . Applied arts is basically commercial art : it includes marketing poster , product designing , graphic painting etc.

Being an artist, completed MFA. Their is no 2 types of art. This is absolutely wrong. Regarding BFA, most common streams in BFA are like VISUAL ART: In simple words all klinds of sketches, drwaings, n paintings. APPLIED ART: It's related to print media. Like advertisement, printing press, or printing industry or corporation. Or any kinds of printing related art matters. GRAPHICS/ANIMATIONS: I think almost everyone knows that what is graphics or animations. Graphics are basically used to shows in reality forms. Eg: In krishh movie, hero can able to fly or can do whatever all the forms of graphics. Animations basically used in the fantasy worlds like AVATAR movie, Mowgli, all cartoons n animated series. Graphics n Animations are all about visual effects n abilities. SCULPTURE: The most uncommon stream is Sculpture. Here people can learn how to create figures in phisically 3dimenstional form (not in visual form). Here, figure is not just about human figures, but every figurative aspects which every sculptors have to learn. Every different University has different syllabuses. Likely, Visual art, applied art, Mural, Sculpture, Graphic Art, Design (Textiles/ Ceramics), History of Arts, etc... ** ( Incomplete knowledge is more harmful than zero knowledge. )
i am in +1 and took fine arts as optional and they are not teaching me basics like anatomy perspective and colour theory but they are forcing me to draw only landscapes and moreover by using only oil pastels

BFA is not equal to BEd. But students who r interested in becoming art teachers can opt for 'BFA Art Education'. This is a specialized course provided only by Jamia millia islamia in India. U can google the rest.
Some points are correct but some are not .first there are many specializations under fine arts like very common is painting, sculpture, applied art, visual art, print making(graphic designing) , art history ,digital art 2. For degree: Bfa is the first step, it's a 4years cause and Mfa is the second step for higher degree in fine art and it's a 2 year course If you have a degree of Bfa , you can apply for govt teacher job and yes e.d is not required. He is right here. But you can only applicable for TGT level and if you want to became lectureour then Mfa is must Or you can do 5 years diploma from any authorised institute . Your skills are very important in fine arts, if you are creative , artistic ,and have good command on sketching then fine arts is the best option for you . Everyday new things added in fine arts ,it's a vast subject. You have to learn something new daily and practice is must. PhD in fine arts will be fruitfull for higher post like HOD of Department in colleges. Tops govt colleges in India are Delhi college of art , chitrakala parishath Bangalore, MSU Gujarat. You can search on Google top 10 best fine arts govt colleges in india .well I don't know about private colleges but yes shivnadar university is good. well I m student of Delhi college of art, it's a nice college but teachers are not good but it's a top fine arts college in India 😇.

In fine arts there are not only two stream.. there are 5 stream Painting, Applied, Textile, Sculpture, Pottery &Ceremic.. In that five stream there are also sub stream....
