It's entirely possible that the underside of the rotorwings are heavily armoured compared to that of the topside, taking advantage of its vtol capability. As for the not hitting the target, the planes are remarkably small targets all things considered and you'd be surprised how are hard it is to hit a stationary target at high speed in the air.
Not to mention the tail gunners have a standard infantry rifle and yet they are blasting enemy fighters out of the sky. Only maybe 2-3 of them have an actual machine gun
Yea none of you understand anything about how to attack bombers... There is a better anime out there EXPLAINING the HOW TO ANTI BOMBER IN FIGHTERS . Its called Kotobuki. More realism you wont find in anime for airplane combat of WW2. Especiel considering how outgunned one can be especiel when you lack 20mm upward. Yea i see those planes or rather bombers armored on the bottom, but not above where the cocpit and gunner are located. All i see here is them AIMING on the cocpit from above, wich is damn hard to hit. Guns tend to SPREAD AF especiel in aerial combat when basicaly your ENTIRE PLANE vibrates all the time. Also all i see on the enemy planes are 7.7's at most, wheras the blue Zero has her guns again but doesnt realy need them (given pilot actualy hits the cocpits and motors , igniting the fuel)
Oh my gawd I finally figured out the perfect comment to right. This was a no-holds-barred adrenaline rush, a dogfight worthy of Ace Combat from start to finish. I don't know who the pilot of that plane that roared in and saved the last remaining tiltrotor was, but he's a true knight in shining armor. He saved their asses for sure!
I don't know what's worse. The protagonists use of VTOL aircraft when they don't have air superiority or the BF 109/FW-190 hybrids, putting enough lead down range to annihilate a bomber formation and not taking down the protagonists.
Short takeoff is a nice feature to have when your airfields have more holes than the average piece of Swiss cheese from enemy air raids. There was a reason the first operator of the Harrier jump jet was the RAF, and that the Germans and French seriously considered buying it.

У меня даже нет понятия как конструкторы создали эту хуету , центровка, избыточная вибрация, щавихрения, время крена, углы рыскания и тангажа - это все от чего этот самолет не сможет даже взлететь! В общем зрелещно, но на экране летают керпичи с моторами от газонокосилок. Единственный кто выглядит нормально это самолет срисованый с Bf 109.
