"Tough sledding the last few year's " Thanks Fitz. But, for me as a Raiders fan since '73 it's been tough for the past 25 yrs. Pete Carroll is what we need! Vrabel and McDaniels are excellent hires for the Patriots.
With Ben calling out LeFluer he unanimously won over all Chicago fans and immediately bought into the rivalry. Fantastic and ballsy decision and I like it.
Good point about the transition of OCs to HC. It has been successful -- Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan are two examples -- but it has also NOT worked -- Josh McDaniels and Kliff Kingsbury. So, yeah, Ben Johnson and (probably) Kellen Moore in New Orleans. "Time will tell" is a cliché, but it's also true. What's going to be fun is watching the AFC West with Reid, Payton, Harbaugh and Carroll.
I think it's Carroll, since the Superbowl loss in '03 this Raiders organization has been searching for answers, and in hiring Pete Carroll it finally feels like a right guy for the job type of hire
There always seems to be skepticism for any OC to HC hires but people seem pretty ready to buy-in any defensive guy who gets hired as a HC. In reality, both fail about the same amount. There’s a lot of factors that go into what makes a successful HC - the roster you inherit, the staff you bring in, ability to communicate effectively and lead, etc. - but what side of the ball you coached prior has little to do with it imo.
Just praying my Raiders don't bring in a washed Russ or a washed Cousins because there are no bridge QBs that will make our Raider future BETTER. The most those guys can do is ruin draft position which we need in order to take a monumental generational franchise changing QB in the draft. Russ, Cousins, Darnold, none of those guys can provide anything but a net negative on our team. Not one of them is getting a win against our division, not one of them is capable of dragging our bottom-5 defense into the playoffs. The ONLY benefit they could bring is help coach our rookie QB but at the same time now the rookie QB is not getting reps or game experience. Hoping Brady and Pete understand that the only way out of the abyss of the AFC West is landing a generational QB talent in the draft. We aren't beating Broncies, Chargies or Chiefies with a washed up tossed away QB that was decent 7 years ago.
Ultimately, just win and nobody will remember anything about how and when you were hired. Nobody talks about the s@#$show in Denver when they eventually hired Sean Payton. Why? Because he nerfed his own salary cap by $50M+ and makes the playoffs. Success heals almost all wounds. (BTW as a Saints fan, you go 16 years without drafting a viable replacement for Drew and in year 2 you draft a franchise QB for Denver? That stings.)
If Johnson turns around Caleb and the Bears he will be a legend. Think about Da Bears they make SNL skits about the Bears because of a SB won in the 80s. They have a current SB commercial with Ditka in it 40 years after that SB. Win in Chicago especially now and those guys will be legends.
Pete has built multiple winning cultures, is 1 of 3 coaches to win both a natty and a super bowl, and he has a track record of sustained success. Vrabel isn't close to that
@ Vrabes hasn’t coached in college and it took Pete a LONG time to win only 1 Super Bowl (lets not forget the ridiculous call in the SB) … Also Raiders are in a MUCH worse situation right now.. It’ll be a long rebuild and Pete is 75 so how long will they really have him for?? … Vrabes wins this coaching cycle by a long shot
@JuneTheGM - I am not a Jets' enthusiast but do agree that the Jets have a good team that underachieved. Aaron Rodgers basically ruined their initiative. Aaron Rodgers and Kirk Cousins proved that sub-40 year old QB's coming off achilles injuries are a cause of initial regression. It is possible that Aaron Rodgers will play better in 2025. The best move by the Jets was hiring Steve Wilks as your DC to call plays. Without him, the Niners were not the same team. Without Saleh, the Jets' defense was not the same. I am concerned about the offensive coordinator. He has no experience calling plays but the Jets' offense is being run by Aaron Rodgers. The Jets absolutely need their defense ro get back to top 10 to support an offense looking to get on track. The Jets have the skill players. Trading for Kyle Pitts may be a worthwhile move. The Jets need a TE.

It's the Vegas Seahawks. They just hired John Glenn for LB coach. He spent 6yrs with Pete in Seattle.
So original dumbass 🙄
It's called familiarity
That’s one position coach lol they retained 2/3 coordinators
@@SeniorMichael1they also hired Matt capuro. Was carroll’s Assistant HC in Seattle
Russell Wilson is coming next.
Did we learn nothing from the Aaron Rodgers in New York experience?

Still need a QB! But definitely some hope.

Fitz should be a coach. He’s smart and he’s been on every team in the league!!!
Bears can’t ever get no props! I can’t wait to beat GB for the next 10 years.

Jets should trade for malik willis
The Bucs organization is not coming off very well. Just a bunch of karens over there

Best hire was Vrabes hands down

Jesus Christ! Now I see the brutal things nfl players go through to play. Fitz looks like a homeless person.
The JETS have more talent than all the teams you are mentioning!!!!
…….in la la land 😂
@@SammyDaBiz You don't know talent!

You got some game 😊
From Amazon to podcasts in hotel rooms, at that...wow, what a downfall. 😂
I think the Bears did 🤔
