*My yard consists of roughly 3.5 acres of "mowable" area with several small hills **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend and valleys and tree-beds scattered throughout. Not only did the mower do a great job, but at the end of cutting the entire lawn, I STILL had 35% left on the battery.*
I really love my JD 530. I have power steering ,and Hydraulic lift for my blade and snowblower. In Iowa the manual lift is just too much trying to lift blade or blower up and down continuously.
Great video Chris, nice to hear from another X570 owner. I'm going to be doing a 250-hour review on mine in the next week or so. I kind of wish I got the HDAP tires with mine instead of the turfs, but the diff lock has proven handy when the turf tires start slipping. Jeff Walters (the taillight guy) is a good guy to deal with but he can be slow to respond sometimes. He's probably swamped with orders. One thing I will warn you about with the X570 is the rack and pinion steering, mine stripped the sector gear and I couldn't turn to the right. I had the dealer replace the sector gear under warranty. I've heard the best way to prevent this issue is to shim the steering shaft so the two gears are closer together. I think the 15x6.50-8 front tires are used because of the light steering setup. That's my only major complaint with the quality of the machine, the steering just isn't hefty enough for a tractor of that caliber. I'd also recommend bypassing the RIO switch as it will save you a lot of headaches. Good luck with the machine.
MichaelTJD60 - The 'GardenTractorGarage' Thanks Michael. Great garden tractor but still waiting on a response for an LED backend. The x500 had 16” fronts and no power steering so I am unsure if front size matters on the gearbox, I will likely be putting 16” on the front soon. I ordered a 25gal mounted sprayer and 40” aerator / thatcher which I will be posting reviews of. The front blade will likely wait until late fall, looking at a few used ones but need to confirm compatibility.
Michael and Chris great reviews for both X570's. I just bought a X580 to replace my L120 which I have had for 14 years. Based on some research and reviews. It is an awesome machine.
Just got my quote. Hopefully my application goes through. I need this in my life. You get what you pay for. My mother has had the 500 series but now she has 300 series. They are luxury of mowers imo. Nice man.
I bought that mower earlier in February.Except mine is 54". I really wish I had made the dealer put those mud tires on. It came with turf tires. My yard stays saturated all year long nearly. Nice tractor🚜
Nice job! FINALLY someone who mentions the size of the differential! One of the most important factors if you have hills etc. Still not convinced that JD and $2700 more is worth it VS a Husqvarna GT series. Thanks
Everyone I've talked to who has purchased a current Husqvarna garden tractor of the same size has not been impressed with them. They're made by AYP (same company that builds the low-end Craftsman tractors), and as far as I'm concerned, they're just a fancied up Craftsman. You do get the advantage of a fabricated deck and Kawasaki engine on some models, but they still leave a lot to be desired. Most of their garden tractors use the Kanzaki K66 or the Hydro-Gear G7 transaxle, which aren't as beefy as the K72's used in the Deere's. To put that into perspective, the K66 was offered as an aftermarket upgrade for Deere's L/LA/D/E series ENTRY-LEVEL mowers when the K46's failed.
One of the downsides I've read on Husqvarna's heavier built tractors is that the frame is the weak link. There have been reports of the frame buckling and they would not warranty it, go figure.
MichaelTJD60 True, but to put that in perspective, the K66 trans axel is no slouch, and that aftermarket upgrade nears the $2k mark. Here is a good side-by-side comparison photo. i.pinimg.com/originals/7f/47/d1/7f47d1f4ce6f32daee71abffb2ebcf79.jpg
sparsparkster reverse implement option. It’s the button you have to push on modern lawn tractors to keep the mower deck engaged when you go in reverse. If you don’t press the button, the PTO will disengage or the engine will stall when reverse is applied. It’s a safety feature. It’s easily overridden with a jumper wire.
Why did you get rid of your Honda? I've been running a HT3810 since 1987. Over 1200hrs, original plug, belts, and blades. The manual transmissions are unstoppable. Never serviced, never leaked. All I do is annual oil change and routine lubrication. I challenge any lawn/garden tractor of today to match this performance record.
Any issues with the front wheel assemblies? As I understand things, the front axel assemblies are essentially the same as the X300 series. On the 580 and up, they're supposedly beefier?
sparsparkster I just took delivery of my new X570 today and all I can said WOW! Super smooth and powerful, 48 inch cuts so nice. Mowed and rolled my yard starting with a full tank of fuel. Ran it 2.7 hours and the fuel gauge is just below 1/2. I’d say you could run this close to max RPM for 5 hours before refueling. If you’re on the fence, do it! Best tractor I’ve ever driven!
MichaelTJD60 Thanks man, upgrading to a 1025R and expecting to take delivery in the next couple weeks. This mower will be for sale, only 41.2hrs, going to list on clist, unsure for what yet. 2018 models with some upgrades
Chris...enjoyed the video. I'm considering purchasing a 570 as a replacement for my Cub Cadet 129 (that has given me 37 years of service but recently broke the piston rod). Uncertain as to whether or not I want to fix the Cub or buy something new. The one thing I wish could have been addressed in this video is the relative ease (or not) of attaching the subframe that is used to hook on a plow or other attachment. Unfortunately the JD dealer I visited does not have any of this gear in stock. Sort of hate to buy equipment that I've not even had a chance to see. Any additional thoughts on this tractor please let me know. Thanks!
KSguitarmusic Afraid I am not help here but from the countless videos I watched pre purchase install of the front bracket looks straight forward. Maybe
DONALD1951 Entry level for John Deere’s 500 series. I’d spend a little more and buy one with power steering and hydraulic lift if you can, and if you don’t need diff lock, and don’t need the ability to use a rear blade, or tiller, get a X380 or up. Just as reliable!
cupofjoe2988 really depends on how you intend to use it, for me I have some slopes and a good bit of yard, about 2 acres. It’s a entry level garden tractor compared to a lawn tractor. The hydro is a big step up, as is the weight of the machine. I also like the resale value and plan to moving to a compact utility in the next couple years.
@@mrchristophermiller80 thanks dude. I plan to mow roughly 1.7 acres with it, and occasionally tow a cart with mulch and soil around. I'm also going to attach either a snowblower or plow to the front in the winter.
cupofjoe2988 Recommendation on the cart is the JD 18 cube metal if you go this route, I ordered mine from HD and it came via freight. No issues and closing in on 2 years, solid machine. If you do op for the 570 HDAPs are on the rear should be standard but can be had with a small upgrade charge through the dealer.
Umm, frame maybe, trans and engine like I illustrated nope. Resale value, nope, pending a 1025R, traded up, and this held resale value much better than the 3 series. Thx.

I jumped the reverse button and the seat shut off on my X350, works great.
Those 500 series John Deere tractors are nice.

If I'm not mistaken. The x570 has a serviceable trans axel with filter.
as of 7/2023 X700 on JD site $7800 and still a good value
The RIO switch is something that is on a lot of garden/small machines, not only John Deere.
What's an Rio switch?

Cure Meister we have the x739 and yea it could

Is there a video on how to repair the steering on x570. Need help getting steering wheel off?
Thank you for your review.
After some time now are you still ok with your choice? Also do you have any concerns with fuel usage?

that's it, no more videos? how is it 2 years later?
I upgraded to a 1025R, about 18 months ago, plan to do a 2 year check in with an entry level compact.
The x580 is the bomb!
Nice, there's a guy on ebay sells a light kit for the rear.........
Not eBay. You have to order the kit by emailing him.
hydrospeedex I need to look into the light kit
MichaelTJD60 appreciate a PM on the light kit contact if he is still in business
@@mrchristophermiller80 His email was jefflhs@hotmail.com but he hasn't been active the past couple years.

Do the rear tires tear up a wet Lawn? 👍🏻
Do they still make Honda tractors?
Went through it like Paul Bunyan
Entry level?.

Definitely not entry
Entry level "garden" tractor, (not lawn tractor)
trying to decide if it is worth getting this or if I should save some money and get the X380

my jd x340 runs in reverse but nor in forwad

same shit as the 3 series at twice the price
