I was getting "AWSBackupDefaultServiceRole does not have sufficient permissions to execute the backup" permission error. Later found that two policies were missing out from the default backup policy. Your video helped me. :)

I am getting error while restoring suggesting no bucket found for source bucket restore job. Even though the region is same for both aws backup plan and aws s3 bucket i.e. eu-central-1

We are finding these backups too expensive. Are there cheaper alternatives ?

see if you need to backup all the data or can backup based on prefixes to reduce cost? does that need to be continuous backup or periodic (snapshot) works? work out minimum retaintion as per requirement. I know there are few third party solutions but haven't used those and don't really expect those to be cheaper alernatives either. Ankit, I don’t recall whether I tried that but should work even with ACL disabled. I’ll check that and let you know if I can find more. Vice versa, please let us know if you could figure that out. Thanks.

Met with an error when creating on demand backup for S3 -->> "S3 resource type is not opted in. Opt in to the resource type using update region settings."
