Generally speaking BTS goes all out for MMA and MAMA. 2019 they had extra time at MMA so they really went all out.
Most labels didn’t send their artists this year for many reasons, but mostly cuz they knew BTS was gonna get all awards, so they didn’t bother. MMA said, whatever, BTS here, have all the time they would’ve had.
Hell, even TXT, who were rookies, got extra time (they had about 15 minutes, which is unheard of for a rookie group by themselves).
Anyway, we got this epic performance, so thank you other labels for being so stupid and petty to pull out your artist instead of giving them exposure to ARMY, and thank you MMA for sticking to your guns. We don’t always have the best relationship with Melon, but we gotta give them this for 2019 MMAs.
This was an award show not a concert. Imagine what their concerts are like😀
And another thing. This is why stagehands, riggers are important, because of course, the changing of the stages, lighting, monitors moving, fireworks, water affects have to be damn near perfect
The last song is called Dionysus (it’s a name of Greek God of wine) that’s why it looks like if it were in Athens💫 my fav one was Mikrokosmos (the performance with universe projector🪐)- it’s song dedicated for armys🫶🏼 thank you for this amazing reaction!💜
The last part of their performance has a lot of meanings and symbolisms. Each member represents different Greek God and all those background music are from their own songs.
12:15 Those are members of TXT, who are a younger group under the same label as BTS. They’re often considered BTS’ younger brothers. They’re first and foremost, fans of BTS too, so ofc they know the songs. BTS knows their songs and are often seen dancing and singing along to them in shows like this one.
For their Awards show performance. You see mixed media...some scenes may been previously recorded. They get hella lead way. You'll see!! Cause who the hell wants to perform after them. The US will cut to commercial on that ass.

Their concerts are 2-3 hours long with small breaks where they change or when only the Rappers are on stage or the vocalists are on stage or a someone does a solo but mostly they are all on stage at once singing and dancing at the same time or singing Rapping and running around on huge stage sets. No wonder they require oxygen masks when they come off stage.
Mikrokosmos was pre-recorded, but anyway that was AR (augmented reality). They use AR at their concerts too. They don’t overuse it, which is nice.

It's not a concert.
During the 4-day tour “Permission to Dance on Stage - Las Vegas” at Allegiant Stadium, nearly 200,000 fans -- 50,000 attendees per session -- showed up to the sold-out concerts. It was also estimated that a total of 22,000 people gathered at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where the concerts were broadcast in real time through a large screen over those four days, the data showed, During their concert in Busan just two months ago 50,000 people were in attendance and garnered 49 million viewership during livestream. They also made history as the first Korean band to perform at the iconic Wembley Stadium, the largest concert stage in the UK, where legendary acts like Queen, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones, Beyonce and Adele have headlined. They performed in a crowd of 60,000 screaming fans each night for two nights. They also sold out Rose Bowl Stadium with 90,000 seats. What's more, getting a ticket to their concert is like hunger games. LOL! Unfortunately, if you want to see them in concert, you have to wait until 2025 because they are currently in hiatus due to mandatory military enlistment. BTS has 8 studio albums, 6 compilation albums, 7 extended play, and 11 singles (Korean, Japanese & English singles) and so far each rapper has mixtapes (tbh it's album quality) and albums: RM has 2 mixtapes and 1 album, Jhope has 1 mixtape and 1 album, Suga has 2 mixtapes and will release an album early next year. You can also find most of them have done collabs with other artists. The vocalists will each release their albums in 2023 so you have a lot of content to get through before they come back.

Best performance! BTS is just incredible in every aspect. I've seen a lot and been a fan of some artists, groups and even other kpop artists but damn.. BTS just hits different. They are special. 🔥💜

I really want to see them live, too. But they won’t be back together as 7 until 2025. Military service is mandatory in South Korea. Jin started his military service earlier this month. The other members will enlist over the next few months. The plan is they will all be done with service by Dec 2024 or very early 2025, and regroup then.

It will give you the history of K-pop and take you through the BTS journey from debut to now. It's well worth your time and you will really understand why the bond between BTS and ARMY is so strong.

A lot of it was actually pre-filmed! Jimin's was the only live solo, for instance. Aside from the last of Persona.

Nice reaction. The reason they were able to do the 6 solos between the end of Mikrokosmos and the start of Dionyduw is prerecording. All 6 solos, plus the entrance of the Silk and Spice Route riders and their horses, representingn Korea's thousands of years of commercial rrading in the global world, were all prerecorded. And they were all shown to the audience that way, except for Jjimin, who made the decision to dance live for the audience even though he had the prerecording at hand. This decision accounts for his tiredness and vocal instability during Dionysus. The timings are as follows:
End of Mikrokosmos 17:40
Start of Jimin's solo 22:02
End of Jimin's solo 23:22
Start of RM's walk 27:00
BTS members except Jimin had 10 minutes to change and rest.
Jimin had 4 min 22 seconds to chnage and rest, then spent 1 minute doing the most energetic solo of the 6, then had 4 minutes 40 seconds to change and rest again.

Ikr! Other kpop artists were there witnessing greatness . Btw they won all grand prizes that night and they became the first kpop in Korea's history to swap all the daesangs (grand prizes)

BLACKPINK- PINK VENOM
This is probably my least favorite MMA performance, for many reasons. I loved the solo dances, and most of the songs but BigHit went way over the top with too many scenes and too many people that served little purpose, other than make me wonder what kind of message they meant to convey. Not characteristic of the members or BigHit to be so excessive. I hope you will react to the 2018 MMA performance, which is much shorter but better (just my opinion, of course). I look forward to more from you. 💜
And that my friend is just the award show and not a concert 😁not gonna lie getting to one of their concerts is almost impossible they sell out in minutes, I’d have more luck having tea at Buckingham palace 😂. You should watch their 2020 performance it’s mind blowing, unfortunately though my Bias Suga is missing in this performance as he was recovering from shoulder surgery but they paid tribute to Suga by leaving a space for him in on stage and didn’t sing his parts either.
