- I’m thrift shopping and looking for earthy, transitional style home decor. My goal is to curate high end decor moments in our home on a budget using easy DIY decor ideas. In this video I also show you a great (and very easy) technique to quickly and neatly wrap picture frame matting with Goodwill fabric. Come thrift with me for this thrifted home decor challenge!

Mebane is only about 90mim from where me, my husband and my kids was born and raised, where what family i have left still lives. We moved from there to Tennessee about 4yrs ago. I used to shop at Greensboro mall often and my husband played softball in Carrie and Raleigh for years. I liked what the thrift store was about.. its wild because here in Tennessee we have a home for young men that we rescue, raise up in faith and disciple, from all walks of life ..and we own a thrift store which helps to fund us as we are non-profit. I loved the “speedy” technique you used to show us the mat inside the frame. Easy to understand but we didn’t have to live through the whole process. 😅

Thank you for showing how to wrap the mats with linen. I paint landscapes and like to sell them framed on Marketplace. To keep the cost low for everyone, I buy frames from thrift stores. Sometimes the mats are dusty rose or country blue…not ideal for landscapes. ;-) This was so exciting to watch. Thank you for sharing. I’m loving your channel.

I just love the landscape pictures in the fabric-wrapped mats!! Thanks for the step-by-step instructions. I will keep my eye out for frames and fabric when I go to our local thrift store, to (hopefully) recreate that project.

Some great finds! I love North Prints. I get mine done at Staples in matte card stock. They don’t look like photos but vintage paintings.
Thanks! Yes I usually print mine on matte paper as well but I knew these were going to need to stay under glass anyway being in the kitchen 😂 Staples does a good job as well, I like using them also.
