hamesha hi itni sahi aur sundar conversation hoti hai dhruv ki sabke sath ki lagta hai ki bas yeh khatam na ho kabhi or dhruv ke pov insights sunte hi raho. loved this !!
I specifically made coffee just for this conversation. You know you're in treat when you want to hear two favorite people together talk about anything.
It feels so nice to be affirmed that showing up to the writing desk is the most important thing. Keeping up a routine of writing is so true for PhD and academic writing as well.
It is interesting that different parts of a podcast resonate each time one listens depending on the mindset. 32:16 hit very differently now that I got into reading again and fully resonates with me. Sometimes listening again to the same conversations adds more value than expected. That’s why podcasts with flowing conversations have more longevity.
Standing buffet system is basically introduced for cost cutting. It is a strategy to make people eat less food as they would give you heavy plates on purpose so that you don’t spend much time holding that plate. And most times one person ends up going for another round of serving by taking a new plate which increases the no. of plates used which eventually the bride or groom pays for 😋
Thank you, this was really beautiful, writers, writing, not writing, aatma, aur haan billi kutton se baat karne do, loneliness kahoge toh ek do log jo rukne waale the woh bhi sochenge ki chaar log lonely and weird kahenge, aakhir lonely is just a feeling of feeling alone, or via another lens- the feeling of feeling good on meeting someone, pyaar hai, meow meow meri sakhi, yaa twada kutta tommy sada kutta kutta (sorry, couldn't help this part since reels and social media addiction happened to be discussed)
People here in Australia are very particular about coffee and have this proud belief that Australia has best coffee. God only knows whether that is correct or not. I think it is hard to describe features of good coffee from bad coffee. But one knows when one sees/tastes good coffee. 😅
51:07 he hit the nail on the head. There's no intimacy in Delhi without hostility. If you don't reciprocate others' hostility, they will consider you cold, a person with a white heart. And then, at best, they will leave you alone. At worst, they will get too comfortable with mocking you, for they will start seeing you as a person too emotionless to be much affected by mockery. Such a touching conversation. May there be more!
About the ‘standing’ food at weddings, things seem to have come full circle, at least the key families eat while seated and served by waiters. Trends are somewhat cyclical.
14:10, this is soooo true! I am reminded of Proust talking about dipping his madeleine in a tea and being transported to deep vestiges of his childhood that he had almost forgotten! Such an intense experience it is to taste foods that take you back, even make you feel like you’ve physically transported back in time and space.
@@mtvdhruv I can totally see that it would be, the way you use cameras and write has that epic Proust-ian (“quotidian is magical”) quality to it that I can’t fully articulate but is very much there 🥹
@@mtvdhruvcan totally see that! Your writing and camera framing also has that unexplainable epic Proustian (“quotidian is magical”) quality to it as well! PS this is not me mindlessly pumping compliments 😅

I have not been to either Delhi or Bombay, but this conversation will paint my view of the cities whenever I end up visiting.

loved the conversation, the way you two are able to put your emotions in words in the simplest form is a really appreciable skill.

Very true! It’s very subjective and too complex to reach at the conclusion of ‘good coffee.’
