The only reason I don’t get a dog to go with me on the road is because I don’t want it to have this lifestyle. I feel bad for all the animals I see over the road at truckstops 😢

He showed his gun when the dog lunged at him. So he was telling them that their dogs were going to eat a bullet if they bit him. Notice how fast they were at grabbing the dogs and making sure they didn’t bite him. Without his protection they were going to set their dogs on him.
Well, sure. Dogs are often loyal to their owners and that guy’s approach was probably seen by the dog as aggressive so the dog prepared to defend its owner.

@IsiahGatson-f2f yeah, I get it but think of how many PAYING customers are turned away because of fuel island campers, dropped trailer bums, and truck stop flies that use truck stops are their personal drop yard.
As a driver myself, i cant stand people blocking pumps. Everytime i stop for the night or get fuel its amazing how many people block pumps

Correct. Never unholstered his weapon. There is a reason we have a 2nd. A. right. And this looked like one of them.
Never came out of the holster, but it could be argued as brandishing a weapon, depending on who you ask. However it could easily be justified with him feeling threatened by their dogs, and it was him basically saying "that dog bites me they take a bullet, as I feel threatened by your dog." He shouldn't feel the need to show or use the weapon unless he has to, as the final answer.
If the dog owner lost his grip, the guy with the gun would never have had a chance. I have 3 large boxers and they take turns riding with me. They are lightning fast - they can jump up and bump your chin with their muzzle faster than you can blink - and that's just them playing. If they wanted to grab you by the neck, you had better be far enough away to react. They are not aggressive and are not on the list of dogs not allowed at apartment complexes but they are very protective of their family. Having said all that, the dog owners were the ones wrong here. Unfortunately there are no laws against being inconsiderate or stupid so any LEO's responding to this situation likely were unable to arrest them.

The lesson to be learned here folks is that just a little bit of common courtesy and consideration for others could have avoided all of this.

A lot of people don’t use it, though they think they can get away with some thing or whatever they think the whole fuel island thing, though, isn’t really that big of a deal if you use common sense and common sense says that if the truckstop is busy don’t fuck around in the fuel island, but if it’s 2 o’clock in the morning and there’s nobody there do whatever you want.

The Federal definition is: The term "brandish" means, with respect to a firearm, to display all or part of the firearm, or otherwise make the presence of the firearm known to another person, in order to intimidate that person, regardless of whether the firearm is directly visible to that person. 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(4). It is a crime. So you defend the guy with the gun tampering with the fuel line blocking, dog walkers brake lines, then threatening them with a gun when they came back? All because the dog walkers blocked the fuel line? If I am yelling at you and open my jacket to expose a holstered gun, that's brandishing a weapon. It's exactly what happened here and why the guy ran away.

So many unprofessional drivers out there. I’m so sorry I stopped being a merchant mariner. I miss the sailing days. To get fuel is on a schedule and no waiting in lines. Every mariner is professional on the radio and at the docks. No 4 wheelers or big trucks cutting you off. Just you, your crew and the open seas!!!

Showing it is a warning. If you have to pull it, then you use it period to this point. In my life, I've never had to pull a weapon on someone and I hope to God. I never do because of the beliefs that I believe are if it comes off my hip, it's to be used. It's not a warning device once it's pulled. Once it's out no more talking is necessary period

Long time no comment. There is a difference between carrying and brandishing a weapon. It’s up to the lead officer of the investigation to determine that.
Always the ‘usual suspects’ blocking the fuel lane. Don’t know why the other driver felt the need to show he is carrying. In my opinion that should be the last resort and you only touch it if you’re willing to use it.

It's wrong to block the fuel island regardless, take your dogs and walk them in the back of the parking lot, I'm so tired of people having all these dogs as a crutch or emotional support and half of them aren't service dogs, last night I witnessed a dumbass bring his dog into a pilot truckstop and couldn't hardly control it the dog was almost dragging the human. Then the dog was sniffing and licking boxes from cinnabon 🤢, service dogs are trained to not do that crap, and for the guy showing his side iron, probably should be in trouble for that but did we see the plate on the truck Illinois 🙄 probably mad cause his country is at war over there 😂

@cg1288 exactly that's what started the downhill slide in the 70s, I've witnessed it first hand I started in 1970 doing some local and short regional. In late 70s driver's were in high demand and if you had a pulse and a chauffer license that anyone could get you were hired, that's why they wanted CDL to cull the ranks some but it just made the licensing process more expensive and generated more rules and red tape.

I have a dog & I've only walked my dog 2x at a fuel island when there was no1 there & I kept my eye on it in case someone pulled up, fueled & needed to get out. It is not worth the risk of your life for a stupid ass parking at the fuel Island. Sooner or later someone is going to be killed over a few minutes. Lot rage is as risky or more so than road rage. If you let it pass it is soon forgotten . If you lose, your children may never forget. No shame to back it on down. 🦇

The couple that was blocking the fuel island to walk their dogs was the ones in the wrong, in my opinion. That's one of my pet peeves, people who block the pumps and don't even get fuel. 4 wheelers do it too. If I need fuel, I fuel up, move my vehicle, then go inside if I need to

Trucker was facing two extremely angry and hostile bipeds and two sizable and agitated (mainly due to their owner’s behavior) dogs and this channel is pushing the ridiculous narrative that HE - the brunt of their hostility - was out of line for only checking (NOT unholstering or displaying) his weapon in case he needed to defend himself? WTH??? If anyone should get criticized it’s the dogs’ OWNER - he could barely even control the animals!
Those 2 with the dogs are responsible for the whole event, DO THE RIGHT THING!! DO NOT park at fuel pumps, you never know who you’re dealing with and what they’re going through.
