I've been seeing the signs on social media for a couple of years and as a fellow Texan I find them hilarious and if I ever make it up to Austin I definitely want to go there just so I can take a picture with the sign
They had these beef brisket enchiladas made with blue corn tortillas, topped off with a fried egg, sunny side up. Made me poo like a racoon the next day, but oh so worth it. Lot's of fond and blurry memories of the ditch.
I have a birthday coming up I definitely want to go to this restaurant I have eaten here before but it has been a long time ago The food and drinks are really good And I love that they have a souvenir shop🤠👍👍 And the service is really good
I live in Austin - the atmosphere is NOT Texas. It is CA/NYC liberal. It is not the great city it once was and there is no recovering it for Texas. Unfortunately, the state government is here.
@Mike Airborne I agree that Austin has become freeloading and disgusting. San Antonio is next as well. But let's leave the word "hate" out of it. Not necessary but I totally get your point.
William David New big deal .. I’m from LA and I dealt with what u Texans are dealing with my whole life , people coming from everywhere trying to live that “LA” life and I never made it a big deal , they made outsiders think that’s what LA was but it was really jus all the implants from everywhere in the U.S. coming to Cali and spreading there ways and tendencies , now I live in Texas and all I hear is the locals complain about how this is so California now and the damn Californians bringing there liberal ways .. stop crying this happens in every city everyday it’s inevitable, it’s evolution and jus stop complaining or leave . Jus like I left LA cuz it wasn’t the same u can leave Texas since it’s not the same
@@williamdavidnew4719 Austin? You mean the city reborn as Dallas or Houston in sprawl and traffic. The city is gone, run by morons, every square inch devoted to high rises as they rip the soul out of the city.
La Casita De Guanajuato on Anderson Lane in North Austin is an actually worthwhile stop. Also, while you're up there, hit up Taco More on Parkfield and get the Al Pastor tacos, at $2 apiece the world standard for Al Pastor tacos
What I'd like to know is who came up with the note at the bottom of the guest check which said "Pants down spanking available...just ask your waitress". Saw that and even though I'd been eating there since 1975, I thought I was gonna fall outta my chair laughing...
In 2017 I slipped and busted my ass in there. They had just mopped some grease into the floor. Nobody asked if I was alright, nobody tried to help me get up, Nobody so much as blinked.I could have tried to get a law suit but why bother, I wasn't hurt, but they could have least offered me a coke. I took a close look at the mop they were using and it was covered in grease. Heres an idea use a a fresh mop with soap water and bleach. Not the same greasy mop from last week.
If you are looking for a good food drive a little bit to pflugerville and try rio grande mex-rest ,,,,they have a great food and the best prices i guaranteed you'll
See, this is what I'm talkin' about. Turn around. Look at that. Do you see what I mean. It's, it's plump, it's juicy, it's three inches thick. Now, look at this sorry, miserable, squashed thing. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with this picture? Anybody? Anybody at all.
I've never seen a healthy dish on this show but then again, all you have to do is look at it's host. Be healthy for your kids. They deseve to hear their Dad's laughter for years to come. Get right Shane. C'mon bro!
Yes it's very true if a white guy is a manager for a MEXICAN Restaurant is doomed for failure but the sign is probably just a distraction away from the food.People wanna serve up tacos and beans and nachos but only a few get it right.Try expanding your options on MEXICAN Restaurants Juan in a Million ain't it.Or this Arroyo poop.Just saying.
Their signs are the thing of legends
I've been seeing the signs on social media for a couple of years and as a fellow Texan I find them hilarious and if I ever make it up to Austin I definitely want to go there just so I can take a picture with the sign
I drive by that sign regularly, and I have to say I laugh every time
I look for the videos with the all these signs you guys have. I laugh so hard my sides hurt 😂😂😂
The sign plus having the restaurant named in a Pat Green song! Nice combo!
Great episode! Loved the signs. The margarita 🤤, yes plz!
I moved to Austin (lived on 6th St above a t-shirt shop) and worked at El Arroyo for a few months in the early 90s while at UT. They had a good 🍔!
Love this place. 30yrs

Jason Wilson I don't think that was the point of the story, rather the sign....
@@cameraman655 Like D.D.D. Guy visiting a awesome BBQ joint just to check out the Elvis shoes on display. It lacks simple Logic.
@Sam Hain LOL Sweet Cheeks.
Don’t worry it sucks. Only reason is stays open because they have 1$ margaritas on Thursday nights, and they serve “21” year old college students
Go to Habanero cafe if you want the best Mexican food in Austin!
It hurts to even THINK of going to Austin nowadays 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

A good laugh is always enjoyable.
El Arroyo's sign is more interesting than the piece of paper in fortune cookie.

Thanks for the tips. I have family in Austin, and want to visit soon.
While I love the humor with the signs, I would have liked a food review. Are the signs great and the food crap?

I checked out early when I read there was not any food reviews.
What I'd like to know is who came up with the note at the bottom of the guest check which said "Pants down spanking available...just ask your waitress". Saw that and even though I'd been eating there since 1975, I thought I was gonna fall outta my chair laughing...
When I go to get food at a restaurant, I am not looking for wordy signs, I am looking for good food, and good service!
😄
Saw this on TV about 2 weeks ago 😁
Cool, loser.
So, what about the food? They left that part out
Have u been to Lano TX..good BBQ
Unfortunately, I still remember what happened at the University of Texas tower.
What about the food at El Arroyo????
No food review?
Food review channel makes 6 min video about the sign?
Where’s the store?! This looks like it was filmed in hullabaloo
I've eaten at El Arroyo twice and got sick both times. You pays your money and takes your chances.
OMG, El Arroyo is a Meme Professional!
Just Brilliant! 😎
Gosh bless ‘Murica
Hey great but what about the food???
It’s average. Margs are good though.

If you are looking for a good food drive a little bit to pflugerville and try rio grande mex-rest ,,,,they have a great food and the best prices i guaranteed you'll

I've never seen a healthy dish on this show but then again, all you have to do is look at it's host.

Get right Shane. C'mon bro!

FAKE FOOD REVIEW!! 😜
This place sucks.. don't waste your time. Used to go for the $2 margaritas on Thursdays that's about all that's good.
I'm sorry. But I don't give a damn about anything in Austin anymore!
Austin doesnt give a damn about you, either, anymore.
Wtf ism this jesus christ

Can't be good if a white guy owns a Mexican restaurant. And I know I've been there .
