Hello Joe - very pleased to see you enjoyed the Silicon Steel OD pedal - great to read that it will be going on your board! Thanks for producing some great demo tones in your video 👍
There you go again, Perky - spending more of my money! LOL!!! This is definitely going on my short list. ;-). Brilliant, and as always, beautiful playing too.
Thanks, Perky. This sounds like it could be used as an amplifier simulator in a silent situation for practice or recording in a flat. You are going to have some difficult decisions for the annual pedal board rebuild!
The attraction is the pedal sounds different. Some riffs you played sounded awesome. Some sounded awful. But that's okay. It definitely has its niche. I like it. How much?
It definitely works. it seems to create to my ears very sag like tone very easily. Like a dog panting. The pedal could have been called Heavy Breathing as a good descriptor. I would love to see it stacked on a MIAB pedal to see if it transfer all that expression to another pedal. THANX for the demo. As usual we get the unique and special pedal here usually months if not even over a year from any other sites.
Really cool drive character…a little shimmery in the high end on big chords and the note definition is really good. Overall a little neutral sounding in a very good way. Takes the original signal and turns it into its “best self”!

LOL, I wrote my comment about the pedal board halfway through the video!

My overdrive cup runneth over, yet I still see a place for this one in my collection:)
Killer pedal, LAA Custom do something similar , I got one of their Transformer pedals , really nice tone love it :)

This is neat. I like it
Cannot remember why i have heard of Colin somewhere!
Interesting. I'd use this at the end of a pedal board chain if playing through a solid state amp, just enough for color.
Cool idea!! Ironically it seemed to sound tighter and less flubby with the LP than the Tele.
Turn those dials up to 11!!

The last thing I need is another drive pedal. I like this one though. Just one more then....
It's always a slippery slope ;-) This one is definitely going onto my 2024 pedalbaord - it's ace!
@@JoePerkinsMusic I'm looking forward to the new year pedalboard build video 😀
@@monkeybrains I'm dreading wiring this one up!! :P

Very musical type of distortion (if that makes sense) it seems!
How does this compare to the Hudson Broadcast? Thanks as always (for costing me money . . .).

that riff at 4:05 was way cool. pedal sounds really nice but really like your playing.
Sounds killer, thanks for the excellent content, Joe.
