We have 5 kids, 4 of which are adults. They have built on some and also other family members. Land is a finite resource. That’s why when you give the richest people in the world an option they buy it. Just trying to make my kids have a more secure life than I had is all :)

Loved the book title ' wood booger ' LoL I'm native ( Cherokee NC) my mom's non-native folks ( Scott's and Irish mountain folks)got moved on the trail or decided to move themselves to the Arkansas/ Oklahoma Ozarks they were from KY. But NC before there. Well we had quite a few places called ' booger holler ' and Grand maw used to threaten us kids ( when we went to visit her) ' y'all better lay down and go to sleep or the ' booger is going to get you!!! That threat was enough to make us all get under the covers and be very still and quite... Yes for my people ( native and Celtic) we know the booger is real, along with all the other paranormal ( to most people, but my people no it's just ' other - normal '
Loved this one - set in my home state of TN. All the cities mentioned, a lotta of the ways of speaking, and the law's stance on rural neighbor/livestock affairs were all spot on !! I love hearing stories of skeptics becoming believers through their own experiences. Fiction or not, it's the equivalent of watching somebody's smug grin get wiped off their face. Especially because it's how I became a believer in the paranormal. When something happens you cannot explain; that there is no explanation for, that shit rattles your whole world view.
There's a hotel chain in my state called "Drury" and they boast about how all their furniture is handmade from their own lands and stocks of lumber! Suddenly it makes too much sense. 😂🤣🤣

I feel bad for OP, but my sympathy usually goes to the witch of stories like these. 99% of the time, a witch doesn't choose being a witch for no reason. I'm betting the witch has one helluva sad tale to spin regarding how she made her choice to choose her magical path.💜
Granted, I’m only halfway through the story, but already I am rooting against the protagonist lol imagine the mindset of knowing what you did was wrong but being mad at the person who’s warned you multiple times finally does what they warned you multiple times they would do then have the audacity autocracy to call them the asshole neighbor pretty sure the main character was the asshole neighbor lol
Damn, the rhyme schemes in that little poem were TRASH. As a rapper I'm always surprised by how many creepypastas never even think about multis or internals
This was an amazingly written story! I immediately recognized that this author is extremely talented and I look forward to hearing or reading more of their stories. Also, you did an awesome job narrating this story and you're definitely in the top 3 of all storytelling and creepy pasta narration regardless of any platform. Keep up the great work.
