The house from the outside and the room with the mural were amazing.But the other rooms didnt seem to match. That matress was very disturbing Its a shame you couldnt find a back story.
Sad to see it’s looted so much more.. we were before your visit, the power was still on! Luckily the place is now being renovated. Story behind the house is in our opinion; owner was a doctor, passed away before his wife. His wife went poorly and lived the last years only downstairs. That’s why the decay is much more upstairs. We’ve found so much information about the people living, the families and their stories.

Looks like they hanged clothes up there to dry. The attic would be a good hot place. Was that windows too up there? A caregiver's sink in the corner, between rooms? It might have been another one of those private homes where people go to convalesce... or to die.🥺

The Homeward Bound VHS was not in French, but in Dutch. 😉 As were the newspapers. Such a shame when all that stuff is just left behind like that.

Must have been a doctor living there, because all that paperwork in the wooden chest are receipts you get when you go to the doctor after you paid.
Well it doesn't look like a family home. Certainly not any more. More like an old people's home or a hostel of some sort!
