    Thank you for your sharing. I have questions here. What is the purpose of R3? How do you size it? How do you choose a proper T1?

      R3 - selection based on zener knee current.
      T1- selection based on load current, PD=Vce*Ioad

    Can i use this circuit to maintain 0.8 output voltage for variable load between 1 ohm to 20 ohm?

      @@sabiquesadique570 To handle the load (amps) requirements, which could easily surpass the comparator's milli-amp capacity.

      Advantage : High Efficiency
      Disadvantage : External Short circuit protection required

    How to determine the R3?

      R3 is current limiting resistor to Vz i.e. zener diode. You can decide the current flowing through zener diode based on datasheet. For this application you can consider e.g. 5mA to bias the zener diode.
      e.g. you are using 5V zener so R3=(Vin-5V)/5mA.
      Hope this will help you.

    WHAT IS VDD? AND VSS?

      @@ilhampian12 Vdd is input or supply voltage , vss is GND in this case and some cases it could be negative voltage...hope I answered your question.
