I seem to be about a month behind you in restoring my '83 300SD. Your videos have been a BIG help to me. Thank you for posting this series and enjoy your (now sorted) SD.
If you just wanted the bottom ones by themselves, I am not sure. You might try contacting the ebay seller from whom I purchased this kit. See description for the link.
@@craftedwithart He probably does not want to sell bits and pieces. No money in it for him is my guess. Recommend getting the whole kit. When you start working on the car, other clips will break. LOL
@@ImpalamansGarage Ye I asked him for the whole kit but he never replied. I think ill have to wait until someone sells it again or something but I've never seen the bottom ones anywhere
hey, you can buy all this parts at mercedes dealer. it won't cost you more than on ebay and you don't need to buy all of it, but instead you can only buy thoose which you need. greetings
When I started looking a few weeks ago I was unable to find the fasteners that slip into the stainless trim. No one had them here in the U.S. This kit had them plus everything else I could want. I plan on going through the whole car over time so having the necessary hardware on hand instead of having to hunt for it is best.
Nice project. Pulling my cladding later this year for fresh paint. Your video empowered me ! 1991 350SDL.
Good luck with your project !

Thank you again Impalaman. You're the man!
Good job!
I never thought of using a screwdriver to hold things up that droop. Lol
I may prop myself up with one. I'm tired after this project. LOL
Great video thanks! Do you have a link for the cladding clip set you bought?
It's in the video description.
@@ImpalamansGarage The ebay link for the parts no longer works. Can you post a summary of the description of the parts? Thanks!
Do you have the link for the clips? The link in the description does not work anymore..
I would recommend messaging that seller on Ebay and asking if they have the kit.
What is the square thing on your door panel?
It's a fold-down drink holder. It's a Mercedes dealer add-on from back in the day.
Where can I find the bottom ones? Searching everywhere 2:47
Part number?

And my lip is hanging which annoys me since its just 1 button
Also, you can usually use a heat gun on that vapor barrier to "tighten" up the loose areas!
Good idea!
I saw this in one of your videos and I want to ask you. How do I get it for my Mercedes w126 1990 300sel
Please answer
Ebay.com. Look for "100 clips Mercedes-Benz R129 W129 SL W116 W126 S-Class SE SEL A124 new" . The seller is "mbspecialz".
İnce işçilik👏👏👏

It looks fantastic! It's a TON of work to get this stuff done correctly, am i rite?!
You have no idea. LOL
Went to school on that trim. Learned a lot.
If anyone finds this 100 pcs set again please comment the link

Mercedes shows 126-988-01-81 as being a discontinued product.
