Hi. Thanks for the reply. I finally listened to Blue Rodeo and I liked them. The vocalists style reminded me of Elvis Costello at times, and I liked the mix of the rock, alternative, bluegrass, blues, etc. Not sure I loved it enough to keep though!

Hey Mike. Thanks for the info. I listened to Blue Rodeo the other day and I thought they were pretty good. Not sure if I like them enough to hold on to the album though.

Good choices as usual. I am also not a fan of live albums, but Wild Boys is on there and it is a studio version. You probably have it on the greatest hits though.

Hey William! Wild boys is quite good. I just subscribed to your channel. Can't wait to check it out.

i need to find that jim carrol album. love catholic boy. bought the vinyl maybe 8 yrs ago. liked it so much picked up the CD too. blue rodeo sounds really familiar but drawing a blank. what else on that peter schilling album is worth checking out? cool stuff. just discovered your videos, got some catching up to do.

I completely agree with you-Catholic Boy is great. Regarding the Peter Schilling album, I'm mostly holding onto it for the track "Major Tom." “Lifetime Guarantee” is different- a pretty cool song. I like his German accent mixed with the reggae sound. Thanks for watching!! 😁👍

Excellent! Can't believe you started out with the Jim Carroll Band! In one of my earlier videos, I talk about how Jim Carroll doesn't get enough love in the vinyl community. I have his books and some of his records. I love the Lorraine song on Dry Dreams. Gary Numan is also a favorite of mine. I think you made wise choices all the way around. I don't know anything about Honor Among Thieves or the other ones you asked about, but that Blue Rodeo cover does look interesting!

Hi Mark. Glad there are more Jim Carroll fans out there. Send me to the video where you mention JC if you have time. No one has commented about Honor Among Thieves yet, so it's a mystery. Listened to Blue Rodeo and they were pretty good. A mix of 90's alternative rock, blues & bluegrass. Probably won't listen enough to keep though.

@@djstephwest I talk about Mr. Carroll in a video titled, Vinyl Martini's Push to 600 Subs Contest. It's in my Threads, Contests, and Vinyl playlist. Funny thing about Blue Rodeo: Almost immediately after watching your video, I watched a video by Northern Revolutions where he spoke of Blue Rodeo as one of his favorite bands. What are the odds? Love your videos, Stephanie.

Thanks. I thought the same thing. Might need to listen more than once to decide if it's a keeper though!

As a big fan/collector of MADNESS and Ska and Two-Tone etc... I whole heartedly endorse your decision to keep the Absolutely LP 👍👍👍
I'm also a big Gary Numan fan too....The Pleasure Principle is a fantastic LP 👍👍👍 Liked & subscribed

I wished you lived in Delaware, I'm going though my collection of 10,000 LP's deciding what to get rid of and what to keep. There's some duplicates but allot of things that I'm not interested in anymore.

Wow! That sounds like quite a project. I can imagine sorting through 10,000 LPs must be overwhelming. If I were closer, I'd definitely love to see your collection. It feels good to get rid of stuff you don't listen to. Good luck!

Hi Stephanie, I really enjoy your videos but I can't comment on whether you should disgard or not because I have never heard of any of the titles in this video. Maybe I need to get out of my cave? lol But take care and keep the videos coming

Hi Richard, thanks for the kind words. If you're comfortable and happy in your cave, I'd say stay right where you are! I really enjoy the piano playing on your channel, while you are in your cave you should make some more videos for your subscribers.

Obviously it’s subjective. And you have to go with your gut Miss Stephanie. But I love me some Jim Carroll band. They are almost early rap with their spoken word and definitely have some punk roots. Be tough for me to let them go. I dont blame you on Arena. I like Duran Duran but I would always play their others before that one. Love and Rockets is a definite keeper. No way I could let Gary Numan go. One of my favorites. No faults on letting the B52’s go. Now Thompson Twins. Impossible to let them go. They have so many good songs, I saw The Alarm on Eye of The Hurricane album. They are so underrated. By the way, If you got your t-shirt from my hometown Los Angeles I hope you made your way to some great record stores while you were here. We have some really great ones around.

Great to hear from another Jim Carroll fan! I totally agree his beatnik spoken word style really does seem like a precursor to rap. How cool that you got to see the Eye of the Hurricane tour. I love their song Rescue Me. So, yes, the shirt-I was born and raised in LA, so I was just representing our hometown.
