Nice job, man. 1:59 was actually pretty awesome! 16:52 was also really cool. As that guy was talking to you and the birds flew over his head at 8:03, I was thinking that would have been really cool at like 35mm from a lower angle.
Haha I'm glad you enjoy my more abstract creations. And yea I dropped down and everything came together on that one. And YES I had the same thought! That would have been insane! I appreciate the in depth-ness of this comment haha. Cheers!
Great stuff man!!!!! Next time you guys come to Atlanta hit me up.
I would love to treat you guys to some wings at my favorite wing spot.
Ah many thanks! I do love good wing or two. Noted. :)
Hey James, great video as usual. The pictures from the hotel are simply incredible! Your composition is spotless!!!
Have you tried to turn the 2 pics from the top floor (18:49 and 19:00) into black and white? I bet they would look great.
I'm happy you liked it! I really appreciate the love! I agree, black and white would be glorious! Perhaps I should embark on a black and white photo walk soon. I just love colors too much haha. 🤔
James - “” you’re my backup plan, just like our marriage “”
James’s Wife - “” Wait, What? “”
😅*emails Dr.Phil...
This is gonna be a changing day in your life.
James Redd Dr. Phil!😂
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this awesome spots. Greetings from California..
16:28 - "Oh my gosh I just found it, this is amazing!" Yes you did, and yes it is. What a cracking shot! Great video man, keep them coming!
You are too kind! Thank you so much. 👊🏻
Your wife: *out of nowhere into shot* “we out here” 😂😂😂
What a character
Yes he was quite eccentric!
Bwahahahahaha!!! “Can we deal with that off camera?” 😂😂
I'm sorry you had to see our bitter disfunction. Haha.
While you were talking to Nathan there was so much going in the background in front of that concrete building...
Haha looks like I need to bring some frame grabs into Lightroom.
It looks like you may have your photo assist beam on. If so, do you leave it on for a reason? If not, you may want to turn it off to be a little more incognito.
Ah good eye! Of the many switches I have flipped sense getting this particular camera, that is not one of them. Doing it now! :)
Nice 👍 no s-log, lightroom.... Luv it
"just like our marriage" lmao
😊
I have only recently started with street photography, what camera and lens do you recommend the most for this style?
Hi! That is a fine question. I like that you frame it as how to achieve a specific style of street shooting. I love my setup. I use a Sony a6400 with a 50mm ƒ/1.8. Which converts to around 75mm due to the crop sensor. Another approach is to use a full frame with an 85mm. That would give you a similar (a bit tighter) result. Shooting tighter than 50mm is less versatile in a sense, but it's a great way to go if you want that look. I appreciate the comment. 🤙🏻
James Redd does that crop factor for the lens only apply if youre using a full frame lens or does it also apply if you’re using one made for aps-c? Are the letters “FE” on the side of certain lens for full frame ?
Hey man, just want you to know RUclips recommended this video to me. Never seen your channel before, but, subbed.
Ahh yes! Thank you for letting me know. And thank you for the sub. Welcome! 😊
Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I'm curious if you've found ways to make money from your street photography. I really enjoy it myself, but I've had no idea how one could make a steady income from it. Is this more a hobby for you? Do you have a similar day job you do for solid income?
I've never seen hotels like that hahaha
Pretty nuts right?? I felt like I was in a Jedi library.
08:03 was THE picture.
Don't remind me haha.
@@jamestheredd sorry for that. 🙏🏼😅 The conversation was nice too. Great moment.
😳🙉 WHOA HOLLY SH#%!!
Hey what settings do you use?
I tended to hang out at ƒ/4, with the shutter speed and ISO moving around according to my environment. I would ride the shutter speed and only bring the ISO up if necessary. I also use spot focus. I hope that answers your question. :)
If Nathan thinks that's introverted what does he think outgoing is!? 😂
Him + constant acrobatic movements. 😂
10:33 wow, great image.
I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much.
Hey I’m a small RUclips who also lives in the Atlanta area would love to do some street photography with you
Your wife is awesome btw
Introverts Unite! 😁
Yes unite!... In separate locations.
13:35 looking good
I do what I can.
You need to get closer to your subjects, it will help a lot.
