Muggs has always been a super slept on producer when dudes name their top 5's and 10's. His joints are immaculately layered when it comes using multiple melodic samples from several sources in one track. His drums are always so punchy and flawlessly programmed. The way he arranges the tracks on their albums is well thought through and songs transition from one into the next wherever it's appropriate.
There are so many questions I have for this man just pertaining to his sampling/production techniques. Muggs and Stoupe are two producers that intrigue me with their techniques. I need these questions answered before leaving this life!!!

I remember buying this album in 97. One of the best buys I ever made in my life.
I am going out on a limb saying this, but from a production, lyrical, and talent stand point this album stands the test of time. You could build an entire concert line up off this album alone and not be disappointed. I can only listen to the album from front to back when I throw it on. No skips allowed. Thanks Muggs you are and always will be a real one.

Still got my original album that I bought back in the day when it came out. Copped it at Media Play store in Buffalo. For whatever reason they used to carry a better selection of hip-hop compared to the other chain stores. This was before the mixtape era, and it was pretty hard to find specific artists at your local record store, if the artists weren’t from that region

I’ve been preaching this, for a long time. This album right here is beautiful. One of the most slept on classics of the 90s. Even though it’s a feature heavy producer compilation, Muggs ties it all together, and it really feels like an album. Classic, classic album. Oh and I love part II as well. I was so excited when that one came out.

Muggs my favorite producer.. for many obvious reasons. Prob my main reason is cause he ain't afraid to switch it up and do different genres and sounds... But he always makes it rough and def got that muggs signature. One cool thing is as a dj I'll be spinning a record and forget that there's a muggs remix to like some either obscure song or even a kind of pop record. He's the goat period.
