The fact this stills holds up even after security breach officially came out even though this song was made before that game came out is insane and I still consider this one of tryhardninja’s most underrated songs I used to hate his security breach songs but I was so wrong they are amazing and deserve more love then they get.
2:45 it's a cliche in music to do a few lines of the chorus sounding darker, but it works amazing in this setting with the lyrics, making it sound haunting and foreboding, giving that ominous feeling. This shows just how smart Igor is when it comes to musical structure. He knew that in order for a part like that to work in the song, the lyrics would have to fit the dark tone and be able to be haunting when sang normally, but the feeling of paranoia also be increased during the slower and darker chorus. He also knew that the intensity needed to stay afterwards and kept it going with the vocals being ever so slightly louder than the prior choruses. This shows that music requires more than vocals, it requires knowledge of musical structure.
