@@Dbrunski125 no i know what you mean im just saying cold soso that is all they get cheap gear and one charm and can do what a light sorc can do with a top runeword
Something that definitely makes the freezing bowazon easier to level is the wizendraw bow. Pretty strong for a low lvl bow with 20 ias, cold res and 20-35 cold peirce!
The werebear attack frames are annoying with the new changes but with your merc having a 13+ fanaticism (faith) aura you can hit the same frames as a werewolf wielding full fire gear. BiS weapon is 3 os tomb reaver. I just stuck fire facets in it to make up for the loss of a phoenix offhand. If you luck out and roll a level 15 fan aura on your faith, you only need 20 ias on your off weapon, which is easily achievable with highlord's or cat's eye.
I actually managed to make a full mavinas freezing arrow/plague java hybrid that I'm going to start ladder with. it can run p8 cows and has over 250mf!
I hope we see some more off-meta viability but my worry is that the last minute changes will stifle that. I think Infinity-Wielding Lightning Strike Spearzon definitely deserves a mention. She'll get the full benefit from Infinity's negative lightning resistance.
A couple thoughts. Would a +3 armegeddon Flickering flame druid helm be better than ravenlore? off-set the loss of resistance of the sunder charms with the res fire aura. Also the freezeing zon is one of my fav builds and now with sunder charms its rediculously strong. Also you dont have to give up strafe and multi to run freezing arow as you can pretty much max all the synergies for both.
It's still a bit awkward since -res% doesn't apply to pets and turrets. Once they fix that (and hopefully they will), sunder charms will matter a lot more (with access to Crescent Moon being a big piece of the puzzle).
Yep will be interesting to find out how rare they are. A lot of opinions on that! And even if they're not too rare, early on they'll be very tough to get unless you're lucky enough to drop it yourself since they'll be in such high demand.
Hey man! Big fan of your video. Just wanted to ask - how do you think the holy fire auradin with a fire sunder stacks up against a dream din with a lightning sunder? I like the idea of running crescent moon instead of grief, wonder how much it boosts the overall dmg.
That Holy Fire Paladin looks so fun lmao, i think after spending so many HR you deserve to be a little bit OP against regular content, i just wish they added new end game content that would be only possible to clear with fully geared character and even then it would take some time to do it (not so much that it get tedious to kill a single enemy though, it has to be just right to not feel like bullet sponges)
Dude, thank you! Sometimes I just enjoy watching your content without any goal. :) Love the ice maiden! Never actually built one out... I've always wished Immolation Arrow was more viable. Can you imagine having the option to build around just the freeze for the cold portion, but being able to burn them to death while frozen in place?! Also, that druid looks really cool!
Wouldn't say its sleeper but Trapsin will be a really really good budget build option, Death Sentry's damage scaling with mob health in Terror Zones + Sunder Charm making Infinity not a requirement for it to be versatile at end game means you can wreck on it for very cheap. Dragon's flight also removes the requirement for Enigma (i get its not AS good but if you can't farm for hours on end or swipe on JSP its def better than no teleport). On the high budget end i expect most people will overlook Poison Necro but with top end gear i expect that build to be a complete monster in Terror Zones.
cool video, thanks D. regarding the werewolf fc build, i have been playing a similar build on single player. so its basically just the armageddon werewolf without any fireclaws. just one hard point in feral rage and fury for attacks and max out armageddon, boulder, firestorm, and volcano which is important for physical damage. hopefully get a good number of points in fissure for a nice duration. then, use 1handed lawbringer (my favorite rune word); cause once decrepify procs everything just melts. cheers bud!
You sadly missed my top 1 sleeper build ... the self-wielding Infinity lightning Spearzon :D Because when you self-wield Infinity, you get not just the conviction aura but also the -45-55% lightning resistance does actually apply. Add a Griffon's with a 5/5 light facet on top of that and a single lightning strike from you will demolish entire screens in terror zones. I played the lightning strike Spearzon last season and even without sunder charms it was ridiculously strong, I could easily solo all zones in p8 without any issues, but now with sunder charms it's gonna be even more ridiculous!
@@FDJUwe I pointed out the the same thing in another video. Seems like sunder charms are a waste on Lighting Amazons. If anything your loosing survivability lowering your own lighting resistance.
@@ciprianhosu385 I would love to have these charms drop for me so I can sell them ASAP for the highest price possible and watch people cry that their build is not working.
The budget way to build the freezing arrow amazon is to use M'Avina's set. Both this and the nova sorc should consider crafted caster boots over Silkweaves.
Just thinking out loud here, is it possible to carry 2 sunder charms? 1 for cold, 1 for physical? Don't know why, but i'm still quite partial to my summon druid. I'm also super curious, did you try that cold sorc doing a few trav runs? Seems like it would work extremely well.

I'd recommend dropping 5 points in Shapeshifting for Shockwave, Lycanthropy, and their prereqs. The stun and extra health are worth the investment imo.
For the ice bowazon, while it will be difficult to get your hands on a ice sunder. I like the budget option of wizendraw. It’s - enemy cold res makes the build pop off. Make you go from doing 5% of your damage to cold immunes. To dealing up to 40% of your damage to monsters for a real cheap almost free item. I will be switching to a ice bowa after I hit 99 on my blizzard sorc.
I think my view of the ideal gameplay loop is what sorc goes through on the way to lightning. You need to play cold/fire for awhile in order to get infinity to play lightning, and if you're doing it mostly self found (without 3rd party websites) that takes awhile. When you can finally faceroll everything with infinity it feels great. If sunder charms feel like infinity I think they will be great, but I think having it be a single item you need kind of hurts that. Would almost be better if it was a charm you had to find 3 different pieces to make in the cube. I always found that wanting something was more fun than having it.
Sooo I know it’s my first ladder ever after all this time since I started at 1.11 release I have never did a ladder till now and it’s a Barb lol I know but, I did anyway I would like to do well and have no idea which Barb is good atm or the best maybe point me in a direction for the best Barb build this season much appreciated and thank you for your guides and content .
Sorry for a newbie question, but do I understand it correctly that Hand of Justice (16 lvl Holy Fire), Dragon armor (14 lvl Holy Fire) and Dragon shield (14 lvl Holy Fire) are stacking together, so in the end it is a 44 lvl Holy Fire? How it works?
Can you do a vid quickly going over all the changes since season 1? I assume there are a lot of people like me that played season 1 to my fill and then played another game until season 2 and havent followed everything closely.
a week into ladder and i've been trying ice bowazon. don't have nightwing, coh, or infinity yet (just cold sunder + ice mat bow) and it feels pretty underwhelming for bosses at the moment. i can clear chaos and baal's minions but when i get to actual baal and diablo it's painfully slow to kill bosses on p1. any advice?
i was excited for fire druid to finally be a meta pick, then they nerf the dps with the conviction post-sunder. guess we back to Cold sorc start with now cold end, hdin, and javazon for S tier
Tiger Strike Dragon Tail Assassin is probably super strong. Cobra strike can refill both balls every fifth hit. The explosions are decent size and big enough damage to kill everything fast with Sunder charms.
Isn't it every third hit? You only need to regain one charge of Tiger and Cobra before you kick. Also, Fade in the skill tree is a good way to counteract the Phys sunder penalty.
@@ms.aelanwyr.ilaicos well, three Tiger Strikes, two cobra strikes, the Dragon Tail release fills Life and Mana. You can do less Tiger Strikes in a pinch.
@@lexmtaylor As of 2.4, finishing moves only consume one charge per skill per strike. Since Dragon Tail only strikes once, it should only consume one charge from each charge-up skill.
This is only one other reason I think you would put more points into conviction. Remember that if enemy monsters or players spawn with conviction, the higher level one will always override the other. So in a hypothetical scenario where an enemy monster has higher than 25 lvl conviction it pays to have a lvl 26 or higher.
I am thinking about trying a summoner ranger druid that uses widowmaker. Because guided arrows Always hits, you dont need to worry about AR. Damage isnt a problem either, as your bow attacks primary makes sure to hit Bosses ans other strong monsters with CB. The biggest drawback is that you have to choose between having decrept and fana (because you wont have beast, you have to use a faith merc for fan). So I Will use an act 2 merc with might aura and reapers toll instead. So you basically switch out fana for might order to make the whole ranger thing possible.
Nice vid, makes me really wonder if I wanna go Zeal, Cold Amazon or just the chad Barb (though the new stuff doesn't affect him - could result in cheaper gear tradewise)
My mains are zealer and bowazon. Zealer is better on a budget and is overall my favorite character not just in this game, but in every game. If you dont have any high runes you can make an eth oath and as long as it rolls decent you will have good clear speed and damage, until you get get a grief. On other hand, bowazon is just a ton of fun and exploding giant packs of monsters is a real good time. For budget ice build I recommend full mavs set since that takes care a lot of your resistances and is relatively easy to find. The problem with the budget bowazon is that there arent a lot of great ways to bump up the damage until you start adding high runes into the mix. That said the full mavs build can clear chaos and WSK decently well, but I dont love it for P1 cows just cause the damage is low. Generally its good in areas with high density and low HP monsters. Now if budget isnt a problem for you, the single most important gear piece on an ice bowazon is infinity...it matters way more than whatever bow you choose to run. I didnt get infinity and switched from ice bow over to physical multi shot for the last half of the season with BOTD Hydra bow and fortitude and that had much better clear speed than then full mavs ice bow but doesnt require Jah runes for Faith or Ice. Good luck!
Great video :) I am sad that this update doesn't include single player :( as a dad who doesn't have enough time to accomplish anything in ladder I enjoy my slower pace progression in SP. Would love to see TZs and sunder charms in SP
I'm so glad the Dragondin gets so much attention from creators again :D Running him since last ladder, and he rocks, especially with a 3 fire faceted 30% faster r/w tiara.
is it not expensive to build? i wanted to play it, since i am a melee character player fan and in most games i only play melees. but those are so weak in D2. could i play him as a starter and then gather the runewords to maximize the dmg or is it without the runewords to weak to go holy fire?
@@dustson it's a good lvling build up to nightmare and then you hit the wall of immunities. unless you get a sunder charm early, you're going to hit a brick wall after A4 nightmare. so either change skills and farm like a mad man, or get a sunder charm. this is the build i'll be going for this season :) and depending on the conviction strenght i'll eventuall dip into HoJ;Dragon//Dream;Dream and run both fire and lightning
These builds' viability will definitely change when taking into account the recent patch, so that infinity works at 1/5 efficiency for sundered monsters (which is a good change I'd wager).
Does anybody know the exact starting time of ladder 2? They say it is on 6th oktober 02:00 am Europe time and on 6th of october 05:00 pm pacific time, which makes no sense because that would be the 5th of october in west cost. Thanks a lot for clarification.

DB if your plan is to run Druid for 2.5 check out starting with a poison creeper build. Mecalb just showcased it and its looking really strong through Normal.
@@khag24 for sure, but any leg up to get through the first couple acts is worth it imo. Creeper is faster than trying to run the game with Firestorm till MB/fissure come online. The only thing you save is the respec and my time is more valuable to me.
@@bobnewkirk7003 yeah but you only save time if you have a tele sorc running everything else for you, and dps to help with bosses. Creeper won't do anything against things like countess or act bosses, so you will lose all the time you save clearing trash mobs back against them. Not worth using creeper unless you are in an organized group that knows how to use it
I started playing a poison creeper druid a while ago. Its actually stupid how good it does by itself. Its slow because of dumb ai, but I thought it was funny just running around while it kills everything. Diablo was the best. I just walked in a circle around him, and the creeper killed him. It has good damage in normal.
I tried out Fire Druid for Ladder S1. It was so much fun, but also really disappointing! Hell definitely had some brick walls while gearing up. Sunder charms are going to make Season 2 way more fun with this build 🤘
This. Getting through Hell act 4 took a while, I even experimented with a hybrid of fire and tornado/hurricane there...yeah, it was horrible. For killing Diablo (or in detail: for killing the seal-bosses) I joined a lot of open Dia-games just to hope that someone would do it for quest. Some day I was lucky ^^. The other acts were quite fun, though - even the ancients were relatively easy to beat.
Since you can now pre-buf valk from Peace without any skillpoints invested, it seems a bit pointless to put any points there. Valk lvl 15, especially if you put some points into dodging skills, simply won't ever die.
TBH, I'd try out all 3 sunders on a vengeance/Holy shock auradin w/ act 2 merc w/ Holy freeze + Infinity CA, sounds absolutely disgusting tbh. The secret would be charging into PvP and then hotkeying over to vengeance after you get them pinned or you stop right next to them.
just mentioning for info that conviction and so the dragon and tesladin got a bit of a bump with the newest patch with conviction only reducing res of sundered enemys by 30% and not 150%. But still these builds will work great for their cost investment.
Another worth mentioning is posion nova necro with sunder charm... Usualy this necro had a lot of problems due to a lot of poison immune monsters. Now with sunder charm noone will be immune and with lower res and some items with -% psn res it can obliterate whole screen in a sec.
@4:20 Hey Dbrunksi just wondering why you haven't mentioned a Flickering Flame druid pelt? You can get +6 to your mains skills with +Fireclaw and/or Armageddon or other useful skill automods like Oak Sage (or ravens!) as well as up to -15 fire res but also 85-106 fire resist to counteract the sundering charms negative resist mod.
i need stuff like this, since i no longer have a index finger on left hand, and its straining for me to get back on my hammerdin, so i need some of those "AFK" build so i can just sit back and relax farm. thx
Curious to play fire druid since last patch.. but as a bunch of people will do already due to many videos, I'll go assassin. No one is saying about it, I might play alone hahaha. Maybe even kicksin
@@Dbrunski125 yeah, it stands, but if you find cold charm in first week and go on forbidden site you can just retire till next season. It's that good now

Good luck!
Where can I read more about the Holy Fire build? I’d like to try that but the guide I found on max roll seems a lot different. Thanks
on that guide, go to the bottom. It has the Dragon +HoJ option. You have a ton of extra points so they put them in there
Will the 6soc phase blade with facets be the strongest main hand for the fire druid?
yes! -30 res +30% fire dmg :)
@@666TheMetalmaniac666 I forgot you can 6 soc a crystal sword for more free stats.
Great video :) I am sad that this update doesn't include single player :( as a dad who doesn't have enough time to accomplish anything in ladder I enjoy my slower pace progression in SP. Would love to see TZs and sunder charms in SP
I think the same. Why no singleplayer:( IT change a lot
Agreed. Everyone seems to say Druid is going to be a new favorite
I'm so glad the Dragondin gets so much attention from creators again :D
Running him since last ladder, and he rocks, especially with a 3 fire faceted 30% faster r/w tiara.
is it not expensive to build? i wanted to play it, since i am a melee character player fan and in most games i only play melees. but those are so weak in D2.
could i play him as a starter and then gather the runewords to maximize the dmg or is it without the runewords to weak to go holy fire?
@@dustson it's a good lvling build up to nightmare and then you hit the wall of immunities. unless you get a sunder charm early, you're going to hit a brick wall after A4 nightmare. so either change skills and farm like a mad man, or get a sunder charm.
this is the build i'll be going for this season :) and depending on the conviction strenght i'll eventuall dip into HoJ;Dragon//Dream;Dream and run both fire and lightning
Why would you do 3 facet helm over Flickering Flame? Just curious because it seems the same usefulness but FF has extra perks added
These builds' viability will definitely change when taking into account the recent patch, so that infinity works at 1/5 efficiency for sundered monsters (which is a good change I'd wager).
As a singer barb main, will sunder charms even benefit as there are close to no ways of reducing enemy physical resistances but amp damage/decrep?
Retracted, wrong info.
@@Lonoty thats incorrect. its always been physical
@@Trypan you are right, i just verified. I had the wrong info for years.
I’m going to play Wind Druid this ladder season 🤘🏻😁
how does fireclaw druid go VS elemental druid???
Holy fire pally and the Frozen bowazon look great!
are sunder charms ladder only?
Did these survive the sunder nerfs?
no
See pinned comment. They absolutely will. Just at a bit reduced effectiveness.
Plague was unexpected, but it really makes a lot of sense
I am very on the fence about which build to start with.
Great video thank you, so excited to try these out.
Does anybody know the exact starting time of ladder 2?
They say it is on 6th oktober 02:00 am Europe time and on 6th of october 05:00 pm pacific time, which makes no sense because that would be the 5th of october in west cost.
Thanks a lot for clarification.
How will Frozen Orb do in players 1?
....Dang was hoping for a barb build . :)
i did Frost Nova, i have pretty much all the gear you have, the only annoying part of it is when i come up to Enchanced Damage mobs i spam Nova then i'm dead LOL -
Should have included how to put the points into energy shield. Telekinesis or full points into energy shield?
Detailed guide for the Fire druid?
Speaking of the piano builds - is there a list of these? :-)
How will fire sorc be?
as I watched the first 30 seconds I had a laugh cause all i heard was Druid druid druid druid. Druid , druid druid. lol but then i watched the whole video lol :) i thought it was gonna go that way tho hahaha good stuff good vibes
DB if your plan is to run Druid for 2.5 check out starting with a poison creeper build. Mecalb just showcased it and its looking really strong through Normal.
thats really only good for a few levels for speed running. its still going to be better to go fissure for leveling
How about dual doom nightwing ww barb with infinity merc?
~~Conviction just got nerfed hard (1/5 of what it was). May affect the holy fire build effectiveness~~
missed a pinned comment. Disregard
Check pinned comment. Was a last minute change but I think this list still stands
It's not really a nerf imo. They just made it behave as it used to against broken immunes. It still works at full power the rest of the time.
The secret would be charging into PvP and then hotkeying over to vengeance after you get them pinned or you stop right next to them.
idk the sunder charms with the fire druid dont help the phys part unless you run 2... idk.
just mentioning for info that conviction and so the dragon and tesladin got a bit of a bump with the newest patch with conviction only reducing res of sundered enemys by 30% and not 150%.
But still these builds will work great for their cost investment.
Why does the fire dragon pally work and the fire sin isn't good?
The equipped auras stack, plus the benefit of the synergies. That's why these aura builds work for paladin and sorceress (masteries)
Another worth mentioning is posion nova necro with sunder charm... Usualy this necro had a lot of problems due to a lot of poison immune monsters. Now with sunder charm noone will be immune and with lower res and some items with -% psn res it can obliterate whole screen in a sec.
The gap between the meta builds and sub optimal has been closed a bit but melee sucks even worse now so we definitely still need a bit more balance.
The first build that whats im aiming for
Why +3 all skills on plague sword runeword on armagedon fisure druid?
@4:20 Hey Dbrunksi just wondering why you haven't mentioned a Flickering Flame druid pelt? You can get +6 to your mains skills with +Fireclaw and/or Armageddon or other useful skill automods like Oak Sage (or ravens!) as well as up to -15 fire res but also 85-106 fire resist to counteract the sundering charms negative resist mod.
Yup its an option. I mentioned it for fire druid but slipped my mind recording. It would def work.
Frost Nova Sorc is what I’m looking forward to
i need stuff like this, since i no longer have a index finger on left hand, and its straining for me to get back on my hammerdin, so i need some of those "AFK" build so i can just sit back and relax farm. thx
Curious to play fire druid since last patch.. but as a bunch of people will do already due to many videos, I'll go assassin. No one is saying about it, I might play alone hahaha. Maybe even kicksin
slender charms balancing more game to open more builds for characters
You forgot to mention a trangoul neceomancer with fire Golem and fire skills and fire sundercharm. Could be very fun to play on player 1-3.
What about Assassin?... Is the fire playable?
The sunder charm nerfs really hurts the fire trapper. Fire traps will still be garbage in hell
The dragon tail assassin will be good though. 👍 100k damage with sunder charm and - fireres says hi.
Now thanks to Llama efforts you can drop all of those builds into the dumpster and enjoy cold sorceress. The game really needed that obviously
I still think this list stands despite the last minute changes
@@Dbrunski125 yeah, it stands, but if you find cold charm in first week and go on forbidden site you can just retire till next season. It's that good now
@@numka82 what is a forbidden site
I like that we can just make a standard build then when a sunder charm does show up we can just reset the build with the den of evil quest
Why even pick grief if there are no fire immunities anymore 6soc pb with sheals for max fps all the way now. or are we no longer able to get 4fps?
can't reach that bp anymore after ias changes in patch 2.4
