Hello, Could you please tell me how i can see the installed Frontends on my Dashboard? Or what configurations changes i have to do to see them? I would like to install the "Vacuum Card", but i don´t know what to do. In all other videos i looked, they installed the card directly and not via the download option... I hope you can help me. Thanks for your help!
I assume you're looking for this? github.com/denysdovhan/vacuum-card As the developer suggests, you can search for it in HACs and then install it, similar to what I did for this frontend I can only speculate as it isn't something I'd use but I think the URL to add will be /hacsfiles/lovelace-auto-entities/vacuum-card.js After that it should be available as a card and you'd have to configure it based on what the developer or other videos suggest
1/3 of the video and we've only set up a GitHub account. Then we need to install another package which requires another video... Thanks for your help (and I realise I should be barking up other trees), but my gosh can't the install of the shop be made a bit simpler than this?
That's why the video has chapters I'm aware there will always be parts people won't need to do or be interested in so the option is there to skip But HACs does need a Github account to use So I also wanted to cater for those folks that won't have one or be aware of the importance of 2FA given how popular Github is for certain individuals
@@TechTutorialsDavidMcKone I understand, and my first sentence should have been "Thank you", because I did get it to work, even being a complete Noob to all of this... 👍🏻 I did use another guide for the SSH setup, perhaps you can add the link to your own video in the description (or I missed it there). Once again, 👍🏻
I did not understand that you where in the SSH terminal. Then I tried another YT, with the Terminal SSH info. I used my iphone, did not work for me. Fired up my computer, 5 min and I was done!
Thanks for the feedback, always appreciated I did mention at 08:35 I had connected using SSH and provided a link to another video showing how to set this up So I thought that was covered
Quick question ...I just installed HA on an old pc and got running fine with my google home and smarthings stuff but I realised I like this route so ordered a rasberry pi last night, do0 I have to go through the process again after intalling HA or is it possible to save my pc setup and transfer it to rasberry ?
@@theattorney6072 In backups when you click on a back up thers a 3 dot menu bottom right that gives the option to download cheers matey I am struggling to get hacs installed :/
Why does HACS not download some github files? Some files just get stuck on download for hours. Can you do a video on manually installing github files? I've been trying for a week to get these 3 certain files.
@@videocreations27 Unfortunately the instructions for each integration/frontend will probably be different Worse still, they can change as updates come out so anything I release might soon stop working Which installs did you have problems with as HACS has been fine for me? So it might just be a problem on the developer side
@@videocreations27 I've tried card-mod and I didn't have any problems with the download I suggest you check your Github access as an anonymous connection to Github has limited access which leads to problems That's why HACS wants access through a Github account
