We watched it live court side and it was a very high level from start to finish, it was a true gladiator fight. Monteiro was happy to keep playing in Kec's forehand and he must have had a reason for it, but I feel that he tends to make it hard for himself on the easy balls for choosing winner solutions that are too obvious, giving his opponent a chance to get back.
The stadium cheered for Thiago, but Kecmanovic also played top level tennis.
I wouldn't be surprised if Monteiro shows up in the semi's of Roland Garros, but he needs a match strategist on his team.
