Suggestion From A Current 3rd Year Student of Jadavpur University, Civil Engineering Department -- if you get any branch in Jadavpur University (except pharma and architecture) , go for it. Trust me - -you would get so much opportunities in terms of industrial internships, research internships as well as various State and Central Gov.s units (PSUs), Banks, Tons of IT , Buiseness analytics companies visit the campus each and evey year. Apart from that lots of productive technical events, scope for abroad study programs (fully funded) would make you satisfied from bottom of your heart. Thanks.
Sir, also the marks vs rank data is totally flawed, like, from my own experience, I can say, my score in the exam was 70 and my rank was 1619, one of my friends scored 111 and his rank was 168, another scored 80 and his rank was 992, another scored 57 and his rank was 3033, actually sir, in recent times, WBJEEB has started setting tough papers, in fact, paper level has gone above JEE Mains standards in various aspects, so the marks vs rank data today is completely different from what it used to look like 5 years back.
Sir, you should also give all the information about Jadavpur University including why it is in the news now. Otherwise, students from outside Bengal who are not aware of everything may get into serious trouble. It is a falling comet.

@@Andbhaktkabap1 Ok then go and learn C3 Level German language Also complete Mathematics syllabus up to JEE level including mathematics of all classes from 3 to 12. Then start your coding journey with a programming language (recommended Python), learn DSA and everything in that. Make some projects, if possible do some internships as well. I guess that's all, if you keep doing these you can be fully prepared to get admission in German colleges for your degree (Okay listen, just talking about CS only, if you have any other field to pursue, go find it yourself). We're not talking about any IVY League colleges so this should be more than enough but if you want to get into Universities like Stanford, Harvard, MIT, John Hopkins etc. , be sure to grab some international Olympiad medals as well

It is the data for mop up round, but there is another round after that called decentralized counselling. Also, sir, your statement "electrical ke niche bachhe utna lete nahi" is completely flawed. In our state, if people do not get top 7 IIT's and top 2 NIT's, they scramble to get just one seat of Jadavpur University. The inflated ranks which you see as cutoffs for mechanical, chemical and civil are purely due to the reason that the number of seats in this department is huge, over 130 seats. And, sir, last but not the least, the biggest and best departments of Jadavpur University are not CSE, IT or electronics, but mechanical and electrical.

In tough paper, not even 130 is needed, around 115 will suffice.
