At 11:40 you missed one of my favorite scares. If you dont immediately go out the window and walk forward a bit, one of the naked dudes appears and begins to slowly walk towards you. When you turn around to run, the other one is behind you a ways, slowly getting closer. Your only option is to hang out the window. Thats why they have that little sarcastic discussion of you "vanishing" as you shimmy across the window ledge. Such a helpless feeling. I must have stayed out on that window ledge for a solid ten minutes.
Slippery Sea Goose I thought I had to be the only one who hung out that window for a good ten plus minutes! I even made my husband come in the room to watch lol like that somehow made me feel a little better about climbing in the window. I was really surprised when they didn’t get me! 😂
Harshly critical; John, just wanted to say thank you for years of great content. I've been watching these videos since my older brother showed them to me years ago, and they have been invaluable ever since. I am currently dealing with severe mental health issues and this is the rare place I can find solitude.
The fact that there are only 900+ LIKES ON HERE. John was still just a baby. Now he's got a larger fan base and is doing so well, Proud subscriber, glad I stuck around for the long haul. :)
I love how this character (6:07) is able to clear obstacles by hurdling over them so easily - he is in shape! Funny searching for that keycard you pause & look over the railing at dead body (10:29), “Does he have the key card? I’d really rather not.” xDD! The sequence from 14:05 forward was so tense, but still had to laugh at 14:23 with, “thanks, thanks for existing.”
I think knowing what happens, since I have already played the parts I'm watching, is making this series more enjoyable. I tense up at predicting your reactions and how you will do things, rather than at the game. It's actually an amazing experience. I've never been this immersed in a playthrough before. This game is great.
It's really not that bad. At first it is, but when you actually get into the story, it gets easier. (Okay, the scares are still "I'mma-go-hide-in-a-corner-and-cry" but they're not half as bad) Awesome game. Thanks for the playthrough! :D
"I think he'll stay very quiet from now on." LOL So you finally died. I died like about a million times before this, lol. I'm learning. Hubby's in the back room playing AC Rogue and it's time now to watch my new night time comedy shows. Freaking hysterical shit man.
Although I too want to see more camera-without-nightlight action, I support HC playing however he likes - but I don't personally see how using the camera is a reminder that the game isn't real? If you feel immersed anyway, it's like going around with a camcorder. In my opinion the conceit and interface actually "smooth out the edges" inherent in games, maybe even making it more realistic and frightening. It gets you into the shoes of a journalist/videographer. The zoom ability is nice, too.
I would love to get this game and experience all this too, but I don't have NEARLY enough change of underwear. 30 minutes in and I'D get put in mental hospital for being found curled up in a ball in the corner of my room, shouting at my TV scream to "make it stop!" covered in my own shit.
Damn you missed 2 Jump Scares lol. The one with the naked man walking down the corridor, and that last one when you weren't in night vision. That guy's head suppose to pop out of nowhere in front of you. Good Let's Play so far.
just so you know, when you go near a door that shows the in game instructions for opening it, it means that specific door is open (or it needs a key depending)
I'm not sure if he actually ripped his throat, there's a death animation where he rips the body from your head, which I believe is the one he did, but it's too dark to see the body.
I think you got even more scared then i did, but yeah i would have been screaming like that if I didn't have to worry about the other people in my house, i played it alone in darkness O_O
Hmm.. This game is really cool and I think that it has the potential to be really scary but for me it's more thrilling than frightening. Sure the horrific images are really cool and really awesome looking (graphics-wise) but I kinda feel like there's almost too much happening... like I never know what's going on. But maybe it's too soon to tell. It's definitely fun to watch you play, though!
I can't imagine being in a place like this 😭 literally! I'd probably find a good hiding place & never move once there. I would've died several times before seeing that grating going into the ceiling. 14:10 Just imagine the lovely odour emanating from the corpses. 😱🤢🤮 15:18 INTENSE! 17:00 INTENSE II 17:40 🤫☹️😯😳😵
I liked the naked guy, there speech is very colorful. I may have already said this but I find the music in this game somewhat akin of the music in final destination (namely 2)
While you're sprinting if you press Q or E you look over your left or right shoulder, respectively. A lot less likely to get you dead than flipping around all the way. Only works while sprinting though
When your pointing the camera towards would you mine turning off night vision it hurts my eyes and at the same time when the game wants you to record stuff turn it off so it's clear I'm just saying no hate over here
Hey John, have you played the suffering this game reminds me of it you should check it out though sometime, It one of my favorite psychological horror games.
or should i say, the northes are Harshly Critical to the actual story of the game, if you dont get notes, then your juzt playing a horror game with some jumpscares. but the notes actually lay out the story.
He doesnt film anything right??? This is getting really annoying. I dont think i can keep watching this. 'People told me to film more.' Ohhh really?????!!!! Maybe because you get notes???

12:15 "I really don't like those naked dudes. I really don't."
I need to start saying this around my friends, in passing, and for no reason. LOL
I wonder what his neighbors are thinking!
They will think he s heterosexual

back when John felt things!
The guy that said "I like you to stay quite" sounded like BATMAN.
*quiet

Well, because the security guard and I are both "sane". That's what I meant.

"I really don't like those naked dudes."
I'd rather experience the game without the camera HUD in my way the entire time.

I'm so glad there are gamers like Harsh that do this cuz I'm too chicken to play any little scary game.
I can't even, I was freaking out yelling at my computer telling you where to go thats how scared I was lol. Can't wait for the next one.
It's exciting seeing this played knowing all the info already

"CLOSE IT, CLOSE IT, CLOSE IT, CLOSE IT...CLOSE IT!!!!"
Your voice was hilarious. LOL!!!
just so you know, when you go near a door that shows the in game instructions for opening it, it means that specific door is open (or it needs a key depending)

Ugh! I've been waiting all day for this video! Awesome game!!!
the whole point is that you make notes when its on!
Thanks for the subtitles! Your audio was fine I think just some of the voices (especially when they're not key dialogues) are quite quiet.
At 5:49 he turns around and screams “OH NO”! Those are the parts that always crack me up! The way he sounds! Lol
Petition to have the makers of Outlast, create a spin off game where the Twins are the main enemy. I need more on them, for real reals
Yes! I was mainly watching this because I wanted to see John's reaction to then
I think you got even more scared then i did, but yeah i would have been screaming like that if I didn't have to worry about the other people in my house, i played it alone in darkness O_O
the most epic 5:47 OH NOOO!!! ive heard n my life
But you're a reporter who's gonna record all of this lol

Your outros are killer man
OMG this game makes me feel so tense! XD
I liked the naked guy, there speech is very colorful.
I may have already said this but I find the music in this game somewhat akin of the music in final destination (namely 2)
Yeah, pretty scary for me. Not so much the characters but knowing you're being chased.
I'm glad to see other people agree. While the game is awesome it depends to much on the gore factor to be scary.
"oh god I wish it would lock" >locks
While you're sprinting if you press Q or E you look over your left or right shoulder, respectively. A lot less likely to get you dead than flipping around all the way. Only works while sprinting though
LOL close it close It close it CLOSE IT!
This reminds me of condemned a bit. Do you remember your condemned play through John?
I love when you say "hello" :p
This is a highly immersive game
When your pointing the camera towards would you mine turning off night vision it hurts my eyes and at the same time when the game wants you to record stuff turn it off so it's clear I'm just saying no hate over here
Hey John, have you played the suffering this game reminds me of it you should check it out though sometime, It one of my favorite psychological horror games.
What's most scary The Big Guy or The Two Guys wanting to eat you alive?
The doors will always have the tooltip if you can open them! Just a tip!
HarshlyCritical You should play the Whistleblower dlc.
Brooke Ebenhoeh I did - should be in my playlists
I really had no problem with the camera.
or should i say, the northes are Harshly Critical to the actual story of the game, if you dont get notes, then your juzt playing a horror game with some jumpscares. but the notes actually lay out the story.
< your music taste
Towards light my bad
When people are still get triggered he didn't keep the camera up and are complaining on a video that came out like 6 years ago
Oh my god, this game is so fucking creepy yet I can't stop watching
You better upload these faster or I'm going to explode
That was so intense.
That moment when the uploader's comment is surpassed as top comment o.O

I'm glad that John is not like this anymore
*notes
Wow!!
He doesnt film anything right??? This is getting really annoying. I dont think i can keep watching this.
'People told me to film more.'
Ohhh really?????!!!! Maybe because you get notes???
you're so fuckin' funny dude LOL
But then it can be argued that you somewhat lose the feeling of being the person in the game as the camera's kind of a reminder that it's not real. :[
You got issues.
The gore is just... too much.
ugh seriously, Miles's breathing is so irritating
I mean, I'd probably breath like that too in this situation
I am playing it myself, I'm also sure John doesn't need you do defend him from my (obviously) oh so hurtful comment, get a life.
Stop taking down the camera, just turn off the damn light.
Gah.
