I had to look up becuse first I was assuming you would bring up Giganotosarus to call it the biggest but then I realised I mixed the years. Torvosaurus sounds like an intresting species. Or pretty much all of them mentioned here. I still find it baffling how any predator could trive with these giant sauropods. More and more I wish I had access to an easier map to keep track on which dinosaurs lived at the same time and where. I mean some existed only 2 or 5 million years and either died out or evolved into diffrent species and to keep track on that is tricky but intresting to know how the families look. Makes me curious about cross species or odd anomelies. Imagine finding a herbivore mom taking care of a carnivore or the opposite.

Wasn’t Saurophagnax (Allosaurus?) maximus the largest carnivore of the Jurassic?

There were two types of Torvosaurus. One in the Morrison Formation the other in the Lourinha Formation. Torvosaurus gurneyi (Found in Lourinha Formation) could reach 36 feet length and is about 15 - 20 % heavier than Saurophaganax.

It's still bigger than Torvosaurus, but every estimate I've seen places it at around 35 feet in length, which is still slightly smaller than Acrocanthosaurus. Saurophaganax is also known from VERY scrappy remains, so getting a proper image of the true animal is still very hard.

    1) underestimating the size of the biggest adult allosaurus, which was 30-33 ft 2) ceratosaurs would not have taken on large sauropods - juveniles would have been their target if/when they resorted to that sort of prey, and their toofies would have been able to rip through the hide

A very well presented video. However, there are a few things I’d like to give feedback on: if Torvosaurus spans 20 million years I would be very cautious in assigning them to Torvosaurus as dinosaurs and other large vertebrate fauna typically have very short temporal spans, and the only valid Allosaurus species are A. fragilis, A. jimmadseni and A. europaeus. I, however, feel A. europaeus falls within A. fragilis. Atlantosaurus is unfortunately invalid and is a synonym of Brontosaurus. Apart from these, the video is very well put together, keep it up
