Very informative thanks. I just bought the white plus on cyber Monday got it for 59 without the hdmi. I might return it and get the older one especially since it comes with so many accessories. What did you think of the app functionality with the plus? Thanks.
You take your hand. You hold the switch from the top where the handle is where the USB C ports go. As you're holding the top of the system, you press up on the eject button. If you press it all the way to the top, it pushes the switch up just enough where you can grab it either from the sides from the top or from the bottom. But you must be firm and deliberate with pushing the eject button. I've had my nitro deck for about 3 weeks now. It's an amazing piece of kit. Takes a little practice but wants to do. It's like popping in and out a cassette. To turn off the back buttons, hold down the program button until it rumbles and that should deactivate the sidekick buttons and the back panel buttons permanently until you decide turn it back on.
I bought one, Buyers remorse immediately. If you have big hands, this is not for you. The button configurations is worse than the joy cons. I cant reach the abxy buttons. and 75 dollars for this thing and no RGB!!! what the FCK!!!
Well you’re playing Mario which doesn’t require you to really use that right analog stick …try a game like Zelda Botw or ToTK …you may feel differently
@ I only wish they would’ve made the left and right side like a PS5 / Xbox style controller because of the way most people grab / hold it in their hands comfortably…the way they made the controller on the nitro plus would put a little strain on the right hand especially the thumb if your playing a game like Zelda Botw or ToTK…the right analog is directly above the ABXY buttons …remember when playing a game like that you have to use the right analog to look around while pressing those buttons especially in a fight could get very annoying for people with big hands 🙌
They made the design worse. Hate to say it, but somebody needs to make one one of these turn the switch into a wii u gamepad because that was ergonomic. The back buttons in this should simply not be at the top of the system and Nintendo knew that with the wii u. They also knew that with wii remotes with the B button location. The best thing is to make a grove under the controller for the back buttons in a location closer to the middle of the controller where your hands are relaxed.
Agreed, bought this product and also hate that the charge port is behind the device in an akward position. I wish it was on the top with the USBC port for the dock as well.

You can turn off the back buttons with the app and turn them back on whenever you like
Thanks so much for the info!
Nice video. You should edit the background noise, it would make the video better.
@@bobans Thanks for the feedback very much appreciated:)
I'll wait for a sale for the Nitro Deck + before I buy, 69.99 is very steep.
