    You did a fine job of explaining this. Good job.

    I have one, but had limited success. The device does work, but one must get the right Aux antenna before experiencing the benefits. It does add another dimension of control over signals difficult to hear. So I'm not giving up. Having tried 4-5 different setups, I've ordered another antenna to try. Your explanation for adjustment is quite different from the User Manual provided by MFJ. But I'll give it a whirl, nothing to lose from trying Thanks!

    Awsome job done on that. I am dealing with the same crappy noises on my station since a few weeks. They suddenly were there from one day to the Next. I am not sure yet if to purchase the Noise Canceler of MFJ or buying the newer QRM Elimenator...? But I definitly need to make a decission cuz these interfearing noises are unexceptable to me. Thx for sharing your experiences with us. Happy new year & stay safe. 73's de Uncle Günter

    The audio on this video is too low. 😥

    I don’t understand your demo. It sounded better with the unit off. So what is the purpose? A better demo would have had a signal that you had trouble hearing without the unit on, and then by tweaking it, you dig the desired signal out of the noise. You’ve done just the opposite! 😂

    Sorry to ask so long after you post this video. If we want to cancel a station or a noise we have to keep the signal of what matters with minimum quality and intensity, right?
    When you end the tuning in the video the Main Antenna Gain seem very low so I think you´ll NOT be able to hear your fellow ham (ofc not on that frequency 10MHz). The Main Gain at the Maximum is the same as when the 1026 is off. 73 de PY5CL

    I know this video was done a while ago, but thought I'd ask anyway. I have one of these units. It seems pretty useless. No amount of fiddling with the controls seems to make much of a difference. Phase control does nothing; the main antenna gain increases/decreases volume only, aux-antenna gain does nothing. Perhaps it's because my noise antenna is an OCFD dipole and my main antenna is a fan dipole?? Too similar? Most of the noise sources around here are due to the usual urban stuff - power lines, streetlights, etc. Base noise level on 40 meters is about S7-9! Thanks - Bob KJ6GEU

      I experimented with both vertical and horizontal noise antennas and concluded that the noise antenna needs to be vertical. Horizontal antennas don't receive as much noise because RFI is vertically polarized. The unit will work as described with the correct noise antenna attached.

      @@KA6WKE - same results with a receive loop antenna which has been well-reviewed for this purpose. Maybe the suburban RFI levels in addition to my solar panels are too much for this to work at all. Bob KJ6GEU

    This makes no sense at all. I bought this to bring in weak signals not to cancel out an entire amature band. Why on earth would any ham do what you propose?

    • @KA6WKE
      @KA6WKE  3 года назад +1

      It was a demonstration on how it works. The technique is the same no matter what you're trying to null out.

      I think you should reconsider this video. If it works the way u say then it is useless to hams. Do you need to reword your review! You said it works for entire 49m band and you show how to null out real signals on that band. Its noise we want to remove not the radio signals.
