Thanks for Watching Everyone! I hope you enjoyed the video. Please leave me a comment with your favorite find and have a fantastic week! I've got some massive rockhounding plans set up over the next couple weeks so be sure to stay tuned and SUBSCRIBE if you haven't yet.
Hey, Alex! Hi, Kip! Rockhounding vicariously through your channel is a highlight to my week. That jasper you found @3:36 is STUNNING!! That massive piece of petrified wood @5:07 make me soooo jelly of your hounding area. That fortified banded agate @9:33 is insane! I'm drooling all over my laptop! the wood you found @12:09 & @12:37, OMG! *dool* *slurp* *drool* Well, as if you needed proof you ARE spoiled, that agate @14:16, "Pretty cool."?? WHAT?? My favorite find ... ahhh ... all of them!
That first jasper... Black and blue? I really need to work on being able to identify my rocks. I would not have thought it was jasper. I have only just begun agate hunting so this is all new to me.
Hi Alex not forgetting a pat for Kip. The agate was stunning but I’m in love with that first piece of jasper, it almost looks like it could have come from an exotic Middle Eastern country. I have never seen one in my favourite colours before, I shall have to go on the Google hunt 😀. Thank you for the first snow pictures, beautiful.
That treasure state agate was lovely but you found a couple little pieces of petrified wood that I really liked :) Can't wait to see what your newest finds look like slabbed or tumbled :) Take care :)
Hi.I am always excited to see your gorgeous finds, now the snow filled area there, above all to see Kip. I am always to see his amiable face and eyes.I have so many pets at home, among them are dogs. Thanks somuch for always having with you Kip.
I think finding those TSAs is almost more exciting than finding a decent Montana agate. They are beautiful, and rare. Don't tell the agates I said so - I don't want to make the mossies jealous.
Totally agree Kate! I always love finding TSAs; unlike moss agates and jaspers and really anything else, you can't really target them specifically and it always comes down to being in the right place at the right time. Love TSAs! Always a good day when you stumble upon one
Ooooooh, gotta love those finds. That agate was truly a beaut, but I think I liked that piece of jasper at 3:38...be my pick, purdy as. Enjoyed the adventure Alex, thanks for takin' us along once again, be safe, be well.
Oh my gosh Alex this hunt was amazing, the petrified wood was beautiful, everything you found was stunning. Thank you for taking us along with your hunt, love your videos your the best.
11:07 my favorite find of the day so far was DEFINITELY that gorgeous piece of jasper you found at 3:37. I just loved the colors and the combination on it!
Wow, what amazing finds. Just beautiful jasper, agatized and petrified wood! I'm so jealous, but it does bring me hope of one day finding my own beautiful stuff! My family and I enjoy watching, learning, growing, and going on your adventures! Thanks for taking the time to share it with us!
Petrified wood always fascinated me. Some people carve it. You have found some awesome sized ones for making cool stuff. That agate you got excited about will look cool after polishing it up.
I picked up a rock in my backyard because I thought it was cool but I didn't realized what it was until I saw your channel and I found out that it was petrified wood! So thank you for your videos!
My personal fave was the agate-filled Petrified wood at 12:21 - small but mighty and quite beautiful. Thanks for the temporary escape from what the world continues to throw at us
@@dwighthawkins5955 I certainly am not saying it isn't a Fairburn though it is a fair distance from the traditional areas Fairburns are found. Just outside of my town. I almost feel bad they are so close. It is a burden I carry 😆
Oh my goodness, I'm so glad that you ventured back out to this location and took us along, you found some really awesome finds. There were so many beautiful pieces but I do have to admit, I think that big state treasure agate was my favorite, but the piece of jasper with the turquoise and black banding was also up on the top of my favorites list. Thanks again for taking us along on your adventures, I really enjoy seeing what types of stones you find in your area. Blessings
At 12:19, the pet would piece was beautiful and of course the wonderful TSA and the blue/ black agate early on is the best of all! Love your videos.....thank you so much!
My Fav was the treasure state agate that made you shake, it made me shake too. I've never seen one like that either. My friends and I have been talking road trip for rock adventure hunting, I would love to go there Yellowstone, such amazing rocks you found, you're so lucky to live there!!!!!!!
Hey Alex & Kip, Snow is the enemy of all rock hounding adventures LOL, glad to see your still finding some great stuff, and like always I still love the Petrified Wood the best.
Ok, first, right around 16:30 minutes, there was a clear, round, huge almost marble glass thing. It was right behind one of the things you picked up. Anyway, I had 2 favorites. The really awesome agate and that blue/green Jasper. Super nice finds!
Hey Alex Omg you have to take that jasper home. That is the coolest piece I have seen. I'm still trying to find jasper on my trips but still learning what they look like, their characteristics and what rivers to find them in. Don't think we have jasper in central alberta. All your finds this time is great.
9:47, the term peeler came to mind, because the white largest part looked like a kind of skin that wrapped around the grey-blue whitish inside, i don't know if you can apply the term to that rock. but, yes, it was the prettiest rock in this hunt.
No favorite they are all nice 👍🏻 when I was 7 (43years ago) and started rock hounding my grand mother explained that true rock hounds would leave a marble behind when they found a keeper I’ve been through a lot of marbles since then lol so if your out and about and find a marble where it shouldn’t be that’s most likely why.if you ever get to Arizona look me up I know a ton of great hunting areas (raw petrified wood not water worn some you could easily Carry and some you can’t (trunk pieces) shadow agates, seam agates, fossils, ect )
Yes, that TSA is definitely a pretty special find, but that first, major chunk of PW you found wasn't so bad either. I think I have a special fondness for the wood, as I can't help but think about how old it must be, where it grew, and what kind of wood it was. Just imagine being able to get all those answers!?
The agate is incredible but I really like that striped jasper you picked up early on in the video. Kip looked like he was in his element, totally relaxed and enjoying the day. What a bunch of snow! Thank you for a great rock hunt!
That agate was deffenatly "insane"! That one spot of Agate looks like a bird, with an image of a face in it. I would be amazed if I found something like that. Thank you for the video. And congrations on the find!
Yeah, that agate. I really liked that first piece of jasper, the patterns were amazing. That agate tho...my head exploded with ideas of where to cut it and no don't cut it all at once.
Thanks for Watching Everyone! I hope you enjoyed the video. Please leave me a comment with your favorite find and have a fantastic week! I've got some massive rockhounding plans set up over the next couple weeks so be sure to stay tuned and SUBSCRIBE if you haven't yet.
That is soooooo amazing!!!!!!!

That first jasper you found made me gasp. It is just gorgeous. Not that the others aren't beautiful but that one is awesome.
Great adventure - thanks for sharing! In addition to the rocks, I'm amazed by the number of Native American artifacts in the areas you are searching.
That first jasper... Black and blue? I really need to work on being able to identify my rocks. I would not have thought it was jasper. I have only just begun agate hunting so this is all new to me.

It was really something. I think it will get tumbled in a future video!
Me too! I've never seen one like that before!
I'm with you. Nevere seen anything like it.
the featured agate is a rough Fairburn. When you cut it make sure you get the right direction.
@@dwighthawkins5955 I certainly am not saying it isn't a Fairburn though it is a fair distance from the traditional areas Fairburns are found. Just outside of my town. I almost feel bad they are so close. It is a burden I carry 😆

That agate truly is a treasure. Hope one day you show us what happens to/with it.
The pet wood finds! I’m envious since none can be found near Lake Superior.
Cheers from Canada.
That piece of petrified wood at 12:10 was beautiful!
Seems like that was also a really popular find! Thanks for watching and commenting Hailey!
At 12:11, beautiful little gem 💎 of pet wood.

Yeah, that agate. I really liked that first piece of jasper, the patterns were amazing. That agate tho...my head exploded with ideas of where to cut it and no don't cut it all at once.
You and me both!
At 13:28, your dog is like: "What a boring idiot! Instead of playing with me and go for an exciting hike he spends all his time looking at rocks!"
You should visit the Mississippi River right now in southeast Missouri before the water level goes back up. Ive got quite a collection from there
It is certainly on my list. I have family in TN, so I'm sure I'll do it sometime!
Toss Up! THE AGATE - All that Petrified Wood! The Agate would Look good as is, or tumbled in a Lortone QT12 for however long it takes!
