    Issue is from company side.
    This issue can be solved if companies do not force employees to serve 3 months notice period.

      Right. Notice period should be of max 15 days. For some higher responsibility roles it can go upto a month like for CXOs and all. For entry level roles like sales and support, it should be 7 days.

    Selfish Assoles do this. I have hired 100s in my life, it has always been hiring the right people, even if slow, and give them a lot of opportunity to grow in to the job. Believe me - People don't want to leave you if you respect them.

    Just imagine going and telling your family you’ve landed a job and moved your family entirely to the city the office is at, only to be fired in two weeks. Just imagine the energy every newcomers would have, they start out with anxiety! What if every worker is allowed to quit companies in 2 weeks if they don’t like the culture ? Then the employee becomes unreliable and no other employer would give him chance!

      Secondly, any employee performance can't be judged in a months. Employee needs atleast a quarter to learn the value of the company and perform well. I hope you now understand my point. I wish you get a company which hires fast and fire fast.

    Judging fast is a skill. Not everyone is capable of that. Many people also have unrealistic expectations as well which they never communicate beforehand and later give unreasonable feedbacks to employees.

    This is a good advice if govt has a strong social benefits. Without being constantly charged with thought such as"how will i pay tuition fees for my daughter" makes more sense for this idea. Hopefully, reverse is also practical " join fast, resign fast" . If my career goals do not align with company goal, makes absolutely no sense to wait for months in notice period 😢

    Reducig notice will help companies the most. Nobody would be able to collect a lot of offers using long notice period. Its a win-win situation.

    if u keep hiring the wrong people you will have to keep firing them , how the hell is this a strategy to run a company , all these people just put the tag of prestigious colleges behind them and speak absolute bull crap. The host on the other hand was speaking in front of hundreds of people and did not bother to even research abt a story between two actual legends unlike these instead misleaded the story.     You cannot judge a person fast. Every company is different. I have seen people who are unable to perform during the initial month, but become best performers after a year.

    Absolutely perfect strategy! The regular employees will obviously find it evil but I as an entrepreneur has first hand experience of how you treat your employee so well and give all benefits, understand them and be friends with them and how in jiffy they can decide to leave just because they’re getting paid elsewhere! For pennies they get sold. So i agree to this strategy of hire fast fire fast! Amazing advice!

    Because of this policy employees are also aware of no loyalty from the company, so employees now keep finding jobs and leave ASAP when they have more money from other companies in 2008 tech companies had an attrition rate of 0.2 % now an attrition rate of 22% cause in 2008 employee learn a lesson from comply about loyalty.

    Worst CEO, they dont believe in 'investing in skills of employees ' or learning curve. It will take upto a year for employee to realise his potential. There is always a tradeoff (some bad apples) if you are looking to builr a productive ecosystem

    This is absolutely the wrong thought
    1. A person who is ready available was probably fired from his last company
    2. A person who you hire after 2 months with 3 months of Notice period is probably the right person as their company won't leave them so easily hence the longer wait
    It's about the long term investment into people rather than just the short term growth.

    Make sure if u expect a candidate to join in 1-2 weeks, you release him within the same period like 1-2 weeks of notice...u cant expect a guy to join in 10 days but put him on 90day notice period..

    I think hiring fast , can lead to the wrong talent coming into the system . It is the worst mistake any company do . By the time you fire that person he or she has caused more damage than when it started .
    Also human beings are not machines . It takes time and effort to nurture people and get them to deliver to their optimum . Trees take time to bear fruit . Weeds grow quickly and need to be cut off to keep the healthy plant to survive .

    This doesn’t work well in real life. When you fire people frequently, the good people lose all motivation to work and they start leaving the company one by one. My company has had 2-3 layoff cycles in the last 6 months. And now me along with most of the talented employees have left the company, now they are struggling to find competent people because their budget is too low.
