Wow, this has to be one of the most challenging Broadway songs to sing and Jessie J sings it in her home with no effects and just piano accompaniment and she absolutely kills it!

I've been wondering for years why Jessie isn't as big as it looked like she was gonna be. She's got one of the best voices in the industry. Very much like Whitney with the power in her voice. She's had some problems recently with her voice from acid reflux but she can still sing her arse off as she shows here. I know she wrote loads of songs for big stars before she started releasing her own stuff so maybe she's been working with other people on their songs but definitely agree she should be releasing her own music. Imagine being able to sing this good?! It's how I think I sound in the shower 😅😭
This is VERY GOOD. Like 10/10. I just think she would do even better in a role written for her voice. Id love to hear her sing "Turn back o man" in the higher octave like Morgan does. I bet "I dont know how to love him" would be stellar for her voice.
Love listening to JJ covering songs & taking them to next level - so under rated as a singer - agree with comments about being amazing in musical theatre if she chose to do a show.
She'd be a GREAT Elphaba either in the film version, or live on Broadway or in the West End (& yes I know she was ALREADY in Whistle Down The Wind). I bet she'd look AH-MAHZING greened up too, and she'd ROCK that Act II Elphaba dress! 🖤💚❤️
