@@DaniloFiocco haha thanks so much, I really look up to you a lot though mate. Your stuff is so clean! I've really gotta give this method a go one day, it looks so 3D. Would love to see a depth map made on this image and watch it jiggle around in after effects haha
Nice time lapse.you still get a great sense of your rendering process especially after watching a few of your step by step tutorials. I started illustration a long time ago using airbrushes and paint/ Dyes. Im amazed at how close to airbrushed work you’re getting with Affinity. I often add noise to my illustrations to simulate that slight stipple you’d get with an airbrush when i illustrate with Affinity. Lol. Old habits die hard. Thanks for the look behind the scenes at another one of your illustrations.
Very impressed with your awareness of direction of light and shadows. Really like the thought you placed into reflection and highlights as well. Great work!!
Thanks, mate! I use both. It depends on what is easier for what I want to achieve. But mostly, for organic shapes, I draw and blur a shape for the shading and paste it inside the object. Check out a tutorial I posted here a while ago (mushroom guy) where I explain that in more detail. Cheers!
Oh gee! Should've put that section in the video I added an "oil paint" vector brush (if I'm not mistaken) with a blend mode set to Overlay to add a bit of texture
Using the selection tool, I select the shape I want the new color to be applied to, hold Alt to bring the eyedropper tool and release it onto the color I want and then hit Enter. If that’s not exactly what you asked just pinpoint where that happens in the video and I can explain further Cheers!
@@DaniloFiocco Explain "hold alt to bring the eyedropper tool". I'm in Affinity Designer. I have the Move Tool active. I select a circle shape. I hold Alt... nothing happens. I hold Alt and click+drag over a photo, it just selects the photo.
Really cool to see the whole design process, would love to see more characters!
incredible work!
Wow! This is incredible. Amazing artistic skill and technical skill in Affinity Design.
this is absolutely amazing, good work!
That must have taken a really long time. Great job.
GOD OF ILLUSTRATION! SO AMAZING SIR!
Your music choices are always banging. Go me moving out here. The other one had my coworker tapping finger and feet.lol

Genial! Me encantaría (y por lo visto no soy el único) ver el proceso por ejemplo en las manos. Genial tu trabajo!
Awesome art. Just started. Just subscribed. A lot more people need to see your drawings. Came from now going back to Mushroom Guy to start render/vex.
So much joy in this video!!!

That's something I learned back in the day when I was still playing with digital painting

Nice!!
Brigadú, Midorinaaaaaa!
Brutal! Cuánto tiempo te toma renderizar un personaje como este? Quería ver el trabajo en las manos y lo editaste.
OMG, this is Amazing! One question: are those radial gradients being used or linear? Thanks for sharing your skills!
Thanks, mate!

can you please provide project files, So we can better understand :), Thanks sir
What just happened at 4:37? Is that a raster texture inside of the hairy thingy?

@@DaniloFiocco - Again....flippin' BRILLIANT!! Do you just stay with the default vector brushes?
what computer spec that u used? i just have iMac 2015 Late, can affinity run properly ?
I used a high-end PC and now I’m using an M1 MacBook Air, but I guess you iMac can handle it. Download the trial version and see if it works for you.
I DON'T HAVE ANY CLOTHES TO WATCH THIS!! Do u work whit this?! if u don't... think about it
You're a fanfarroner! Hahahah
How the fuck do you get eyedropped colors to change the fill instantly? It always takes multiple clicks for me.
